Followed the web site instructions and emailed a request for a quote. Included measurements and pictures. No response. Resent and asked for a response. Guess they don't need the business. Losers. Even if you are busy, is it that tough to respond and say so? read more
Not a professional in materials, how he talks to you and your family when you question his work and how he responds to a problem he doesn't think is worth his time when he has bigger jobs coming up. My deck was 13,500. He let me know he takes care of demolition of your old deck and hauls it away. Once your deck is gone you will see that you are left with the holes from where your old deck stood as well as the rebar sticking up from where your old posts were. After several calls and nearly a month he stopped by and finally agreed to put some cement over the holes, he was reluctant to do this even though it looked awful there were 4 holes where posts were and rebar sticking out. I had also brought up that each post had wood that had knicks and large splinters one post had a splinter not fully detached which the cement attempts to place back which makes it more noticeable and unattractive especially combined with the hasty cement work. read more
What a pro!
From start to completion, CDA Deck made this project a pleasure.
The owner, Jim Loisel, did the estimate and pointed out important details I had missed. Replacing my deck as is was too high from his and other estimates so Jim worked up a deal with a smaller deck that is more than adequate.
His crew was polite, respectful of my property and did excellent work.
CDA Deck is a reputable outfit and I hope to do business with them soon! read more
About a year and a half ago I called to get an estimate on a roof extension that was about 4' x 5'. Jim came out to bid the job. After a day I had not received an estimate so I called and he said he would send it over. I never received it (to this day) and went with someone else. Just recently I called for an estimate on a deck, not realizing he was the one I called about the roof, if I had remembered I would not have called since he was unresponsive regarding the bid on the first job. He gave an estimate of $7,050 for approximately a 10' x 14' deck with a couple of stairs plus a $100 per hour fee if the holes for the deck take longer than 30 min to dig. He also advised us to maybe look into pavers. We called and left a message and told him we were going to take his advice and look into pavers due to the high cost of the deck. He responded with a text and wanted us to realize that he has been out to our place that is so far out (Hauser Lake) for two estimates now with no business for him so we should just lose his number. I'm glad we decided not to go with this company because that is not the kind of business I want to support. read more
