After being swindled I was made aware that numerous people have been swindled when this same woman is working. One person was begrudgingly refunded a small portion of the money that stolen from them. No booth number on signs, several vendors in one booth, $1 booth has many items that aren't a dollar are a few examples of the deceptive signage. Take pictures and check the receipt before paying if you decide to shop at Your Money's Worth Antique Mall in Boonville.

I found a bunch of other stuff, and I can't disclose, because it would give away how cool everything is. This is a store, so to speak, run by the University of Missouri libraries, where duplicate records and VHS and CDs are sold. I was told by the helpful staffperson that about 10 seconds after the advent of CDs, the university radio station chose to sell all their vinyl, and the university library bought them all up. So now they sell off the duplicates and keep the rest for posterity. And you, the state taxpayer (or out of state visitor), benefits. I think 50 cents is a deal, and all the records I got were very well kept. Some didn't have a interior record sleeve, but they all showed very little wear and tear. Most of it is classical, but there is about half which is not. Of course you won't find the latest Radiohead album here, but if you're looking for something that a university radio station might play back in the days of records (Dave Brubeck?), then there's a good chance it's around.

About half the store is dedicated to the D&D/Warhammer/Magic-type collection-heavy, RPG-style, or miniatures. The other half is dedicated to Euro-style gaming (with a little American party gaming here and there). It's a spacious layout that's very conducive to browsing. It's easy to look around and browse. Second, the staff has always been helpful. Some of them have kids and tell us their preferred kid-friendly games. They always have a couple of selections based upon preferences. We haven't been steered wrong by their advice yet, and that's something. Third, they have a small rewards program, where they keep your phone number on file, and after a certain amount of purchases you get a gift certificate. Small, sure, but it's great for loyalty. Fourth, the selection is phenomenal. They hit the right balance on everything. They don't overwhelm you with Dominion variants or Killer Bunnies add-ons. There's a little of everything for everyone. If you want Munchkin or a Catan, you can get it. If you want a party game, you can get it. If you want some of the more obscure games from Z-Man or Rio Grande, they often have it. This is, as mentioned, my favorite board game store in North America. I haven't visited them all. But if you're in central Missouri, try them.
