Literally nothing else compares if you're serious about fitness. I love that it's not adorned with television screens on every wall, in fact you will not find a single TV anywhere in the gym. The equipment is second to none, and feels like each piece was purchased with intentionality as opposed to soooo many other gyms that feel like they purchased a preselected lot of equipment like a value meal, and then decided to start a gym. It's more expensive than a cookie cutter corporate gym, but imho totally worth every penny. It's open 24 hours, the environment is unique, and to be able to workout with an open overhead door that you could fit an aircraft through, is an underrated, understated luxury that I never knew was missing from my life until I experienced it for myself. I love that it's locally owned and staffed by competent individuals who seem to care about the gym. I have never gotten the feeling from anyone there that it's just another job in a long line of jobs that ultimately don't matter. I cannot say that about many other gyms. Finally, it's just like a cool place to be. There is special attention paid to everything from the architectural design of the building to the lighting and sound system, to the amazing cardio room that overlooks west Amarillo. They regularly host car shows and fitness expos as well as the best bodybuilding show that Amarillo has to offer. I enthusiastically recommend Contagion Athletics to anyone that is into working out.

I walked in and noticed that the few associates on the floor were already with clients, however none of them greeted me or stated that someone would be with me shortly. A group of employees came out of the back room as I was standing by the front entrance, and without kindness a girl with huge fake eyelashes yelled "do you need help?" Unsure she was even speaking to me, I looked to the back of the store and said 'I'm sorry were you asking me?" She said again 'yes, do you need something?' .... I walked to her since she had stopped walking towards me and told her why I was there... you see at the time I had just had part of my foot amputated and the rest of my foot was very much misaligned/deformed from metatarsal breaks. I was very vulnerable and unsure as to what I needed in terms of footwear. She very quickly and in an uncaring manner did the size routine and promptly put me in a very ugly men's shoe (I'm female) stating that it was the only one that would work. I was on the verge of tears as I felt defeated, I was super excited to come into the store to find something great and your employee did not do her job. I took a photo of the brand and size of shoe she put me in and ultimately, instead of buying local, purchased my shoes online through the brand website (at a lower price I might add). I will not recommend nor set foot into this store ever again. Anyone I have spoken to about this experience of mine has had a similar one... so I would strongly suggest that the upper management vet out who they hire in the future. I'm truly surprised you guys are still a functioning business.

I asked the manager about a jacket my son wanted, he was very helpful, but they didn't have his size. We left to check at other stores in the mall. No one had anything my son wanted, so he decided on a different jacket at Champs. We went back, got the jacket then stood in check out line for about 15 minutes behind 4 other customers. The checker was SLOW and getting farther behind. I think you guys need to get your act together! 6 other employees standing around, not helping this inexperienced checker doesn't look good to me. I am going to try to get my son to stop shopping here, they act like they have better things to do than help, like visit with coworkers, friends or just stand around.
