I was in need of alterations for clothes that were too big for me after losing weight. A friend suggested that I give Marcos at The Perfect Fit a try. I brought Marcos a jacket with high sentimental value for me. After a few pins and consideration on fit, that part of the process was complete. Buyer beware. I took four items here on May 2. Two of the items I needed by May 14. The owner promised me it would be ready on the 14th. I watched him write the date on the paper he attached to the two dresses. He stated that they are not normally open on Saturdays, but he would make an exception. I offered to pay a rush/Saturday fee and he declined. He told me to call him on the 13th to confirm, which I did and he confirmed they would be ready the next day. He told me to call at 2pm on the 14th to check in. I not only called, but called multiple times that day. I even drove there twice and no one was there. I picked up my items today (just got back from the trip I needed the two dresses for) and he could not have cared less that he had done this. He tried to come up with every excuse he could, all of which I was able to refute. He asked what I wanted from him and I said the money back for the two dresses promised and not delivered and the more than 20% tip I had left. He just looked at me with zero concern and said "well you can still wear the dresses". No apology, nothing. He finally relented and returned the tip. I have no idea on the quality of the work yet, but the business practices are awful. read more

So being new to the area, I had to find someone to hem my pants to properly fit me. Big baggy pants are long out of style and because these pants were more or less unused for many years and still in great condition, I figured why not make use of them. After all, because they are baggy I can get them custom fit to my leg. This idea might me need to many people but who doesn't want clothes are are tailored and fit to your body? For me I would rather all my clothes fit me perfectly than just to fit almost everyone generically. I'm not an all-size-fits kinda guy. I called several places but for some reason several said we send our clothes to The Perfect Fit. I decided to take 2 of my pairs of pants that were clearly out of style. After speaking to the owner he said it would take about a week to get the clothes finished. Not a problem at all. I let the week go by and then called the store and inquired when I should come by. The owner said to give him another hour and I showed up and my clothes fitted perfectly! It won't be long before I send him more clothes that I ordered online that were a size too big. I rented a tux from here for an event. The tux was promised by the following Thursday although I was told the tux would likely arrive by Monday. I didn't receive the tux until 1:30 on the day of the event which was Saturday. The weather wasn't great so that didn't bother me. Here is what bothers me. The shirt and vest do not fit. I'm sitting at the event with the buttons barely hanging on. I anticipate being at this event with popped buttons. Poor measurements make for a horrible experience. I'm sure I will lose more money when this suit rips because of poor measurements. read more

I took a bridesmaids dress to have it altered. Before I got there, I called around asking for prices. Most places wouldn't give me a price, however, another laundromat sent me to this place for alterations and she quoted me $13 a later for him. He took measurements and charged me $20 a layer. When I asked him about it, he wouldn't budge on the price. Problem is, he knew I was on a time crunch and took advantage. Which brings me to my next point, I told him I was leaving town Monday and would like to have it before then. He said no problem, I can do that! Come Monday, my dress isn't finished. Forcing me to have someone else pick up my dress. With how it has been this far, I hope he does a good job. This review is basically for customer service, because I haven't seen the work done on the dress yet. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES TO THE PERFECT FIT!! My sister in law and I took her wedding dress to get him Thursday, she needed it done by Sunday for bridal pictures! They assured us twice yes it'll be done Sunday, wrote it on the receipt need by 4 Sunday! Soo come Sunday nobody called and they were closed so she had to cancel her bridal pictures! We went to pick up the dress and I have never been talked to so horribly by someone who owns a business!!! He said his people never told us That and I said I was standing right here when they told both of us that a couple of times and he said no they didn't and I said so Are you calling us liars then? He said yes because nobody said that. And then when She asked for her receipt with the date written on it "needed by Sunday at 4" he crumpled the receipt in front of her and said that's his receipt and she's not getting it!! He was a complete jerk!! So on top of not getting the dress in time we got treated like absolute crap! You can look at the reviews and see we aren't even close to the first ones to have this issue with him!!! read more

I have used this Master Tailor for just about everything; however, recently I had a bespoke three piece suit created, and all I can say is absolutely amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail. The quality surpasses that of my other suits, and the idea it's entirely made by one man in his shop in Amarillo brings forth a sense of yesteryear, a time when craftsman were applying their trade all over America.
