Hire workers who have brains and proper training please! Visited this site at 730am on 11.3.25 and there was a guy of indianpakistanibangladeshi descent who has ZERO clue and is LAZY as all get out, he told me (with great glee, anything to get out of honest work right? What a jerk!) he can't clean comforter because it's "dirty"/not already clean (like most of us I had just mentioned a stain on comforter that i hoped they could make sure was addressed... um otherwise what is purpose of your facility then exactly?). He went to back of store and asked a mysterious "supervisor" because he couldn't have a thought or make a decision on his own. The blind leading the blind for sure, would NOT recommend this mess of a place to anyone (see ALL THEIR TERRIBLE REVIEWS!), look forward to them going out of business. My usual familyrun Drycleaners hadn't opened for the day yet & i was in a hurry- but I'll never frequent this crappy store. Two thumbs down. read more

Came here on my moms recommendation since she says this place has the best prices she has seen. Apparently it is a dollar higher than before but that's expected with inflation. Dropped off a three piece suit, Canada goose coat, and dress shirt and it was all under $15. I was also amazed at how fast the service is. Was worried since we needed the suit for a wedding in a couple days but got it back the next day no problem. Definitely better price and service than dry cleaners I have used in the past. My family has been going here for years and I'm not sure why. They constantly ruin or lose our clothes. They do not properly read labels or care about the clothes. I brought in about 15 sweaters and all of them have shrunk. The picture below is an example. They are both the same sweater just different colors. One of them dry cleaned by CD (the black one) and the other one has yet to be worn. The black one is ruined and unwearable now. Update: We called Tom and left a message and was told he would call back and he canceled. A woman called back instead and asked what items I'm missing in my order. When I reexplained the issue I was told Tom will not be available for another week. I tried filing a claim but I was told it needed to be done in person. I have been using this dry cleaner since they opened and have an account with them. First they changed the same day/next day policy without a word and then they no longer email that the laundry is ready. When I asked about this, they said they could text me and put it into the computer. What a great idea, how about you let people know of your policy changes? Next I noticed that the facility has starting looking dumpy and messy. The absolute last straw was the pressing of shirts. If I wanted pressed in wrinkles and crooked collars, I'd do these myself. This place is your typical cleaners chain. They specialize in just one thing. Quantity. Not quality. The staff here is never helpful and many times the clothes received back in worse condition than when they went in. How is that for your hard earned money and prizes and cares for items? Zero respect in many aspects. Parking here is terrible. It is not really their fault though, they have busy traffic from the less informed and the strip mall itself is always busy particularly during peak rush and food hours. To be quite honest, if you want quality without sacrificing quantity (or the other way around), please take my advice and go down the street to the strip mall off of 75th Street and Fairview Avenue in Downers Grove. There is a cleaners there (cleaner sign says, "Cleaners" in red) called Darien Parks Cleaners. Tell them Jeff and/or Eddy sent you. You won't regret their level of service and commitment. I've been a customer of other CD One Price franchises since roughly 2003. I was happy to see that when we moved to our new home in the suburbs, a CD One Price was nearby. In terms of service, I'd say this location is on par,if not better than the city locations. They are just as fast, clean, and friendly. As others have mentioned, CD One Price is cash or check. Been going here for years and understand getting the clothes clean is not their specialty, however they are fast, cheap, and convenient. It is not uncommon for a laundered shirt to have a Time Out tag meaning some spot didn't come out. I'm used to this and normally ask the clean the shirt again and problem gets solved. Today my shirts came back with the tag, I requested they clean again, and they actually argued with me. Saying the Time Out tag means that be put effort into the shirt and couldn't get it cleaned.After some discussion they agreed to redo the shirt but kept telling me it would be no use. Out of frustration I took the shirt home, put a little shout on the spot and laundered myself. Low and behold clean as a whistle! I'm actually done with them. We found another shirt that was ruined. They never advised us until we took the shirt out. It has grease/oil/dirt on sleeves and elbows that weren't there when we dropped it off. Can I give this place zero stars? The customer service here has been steadily declining for some time. I don't expect people to be chipper all the time but overall most staff seem miserable when I'm there. For the past few months my husbands shirts come back stained or dirty which is not the condition they were dropped off in. Something has changed with this location recently so I suspect perhaps it's the staff or new process/products. When I started asking about it the man helping me became very defensive and agitated. I was also told I would be comped for 2 dirty shirts that had to be re-cleaned but that I was charged for. Then he said there was no way they could be dirtying my clothes and then asked me the name of the girl who helped me. I couldn't tell him who said yes to my request because she was not wearing a name tag. He wasn't wearing one either but I didn't care to ask because I don't plan on going there any more. I know that this is a lower cost cleaner but this may be a case of finally getting what you pay for. I might also suggest that if you're in customer service you should have all your staff wear name tags. You know my name and I should know yours too! read more

Do not go to this CD One price, staff is extremely disrespectful and owner is never there to hear complaints. I was accused of not paying for all my items, if they are counting them how I am I at fault? The cashier never admitted that it was their fault and never apologized just insisted on the $2.99 that they neglected to charge me originally. The owner has yet to be in office to hear my complaint and the people who answer the phone each time I call to speak to the owner are just as rude as they were the day they accused me in front of a store full of people of owing them more money! I recently started using this one as it is closer to my home however I will continue using the Naperville/Ogden location where the service is 100% better. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY About 6 months ago they ruined a comforter that I dropped off for cleaning. It was fairly new with no piling and when I got it back the entire top of it had piling everywhere. I just went to them this past week, because they're on my way to work and I Was in a hurry, and dropped off 3 items at 8 am. I came back at 3:30 because I had gotten off early and tried to pick up my items on the way home. They said only 2/3 items were done and I would have to come back at 5 pm for the last item. I asked if I could wait while they pressed it and they said no. There was ZERO customer service and ZERO helpfulness. Because they couldn't be bothered to help me and I needed an item they had for Saturday afternoon, I had to get up and drive 45 minutes out of my way to re-pick up my items. Nice people, quick and cheap dry cleaning. Really, the only complaint I have is that it's cash or check only. But they give free coffee, free suckers for kids, and free dog treats for...well, dogs. Thieves!! I was using this cleaners for more than one year and everything was great until yesterday. I dropped a bunch of shirts there and I mentioned that maybe I forgot my jawbone headset in one of the shirt's pocket. Since in the past they returned my money and documents forgotten in pockets I assume that it was OK to trust this business. When I picked up the clothes, the attendant told that she found the device but she threw it to the garbage. She said "I'm sorry but there is nothing I can do". It was more than 5pm and I asked to speak with the manager but they didn't want to give me her phone number. So I left a message saying that I will report this to the police because it is clearly a case of illegal appropriation. The next day at 7am. Always prompt and courteous service - and have been going here since they opened years ago. Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate as well. They do a great job ... try taking your clothes anywhere else and pay considerably more. Convenient location - and their 24 hour blue bags make dropping your clothes off sooo easy! I called on a Monday to find out hours and asked on amount for cleaning a quilt for queen bed. The girl quoted me 14.99 not giving me choice of blanket, quilt, comforter. When I arrived at location the charge for my comforter was 19.99 when I explained my concern on price quoted not being met, worker called supervisor to register and she said I can have it cleaned for 19.99 or NOT. A ZERO rating should be allowed. I had been taking my clothes to this CD One Price Cleaners for years. The cleaning wasn't great but I kept going for the price. I stopped taking my clothes here when they ruined a blue dress that had white trim down the front and around the cuffs. This dress also has a white belt that was removed from the dress before cleaning. When I got home and began to put away the clothes; I was about to replace the belt on the dress when I noticed that the dress white was now a stingy bluish color; so now I had a white belt but stingy bluish trim. I called for a couple of years and never got the owner; only Wendy, who would always say the owner wasn't there; and she would have him give me a call and that he was aware of the situation and he did see the dress. A few weeks passed and still no call from the owner; when I called back and talked with Wendy she informed me that the owner said "he don't call customers." WHAT??? SO TO THIS CUSTOMERS ARE NOT WORTHY OF HIS TIME OR A PHONE CALL!!! Well, I went and made a complaint with the BBB and this non existence owner, this non responding owner, this I don't call customers owner; replied back to the Better Business Bureau. His response was a bunch of lies about how he had reached out to me and informed me that my dress was a stingy white due to the dress dye issue; and if it had been the fault of the cleaners he would of gladly reimbursed me for the dress. By the way with my complaint with the BBB I learned that the owner of this CD One Price cleaners in Darien is Tom Simonian. Well shame on you Tom Simonian for a total unprofessional jerk... Needless to say I no longer go to this cleaners; I take my clothes to Briet Cleaners, they're reasonable and it's a pay when clothing is dropped off; the service so far is really good and the staff is friendly.
