Mountain Range is a Local Gem tucked away between Cattle Farms in a Country Setting…read more Mr. Jule who owns the place is a National Treasure. Lets just take a moment to appreciate this kind Man, his charisma, and his service to our Country. With the world in such a state of affairs I realized it was time for me to get serious. I purchased a shogun for home protection and came here to learn the ins and outs of my firearm. Lane rental is $30 and Mr Jule gave me a personal assessment for no extra charge. What a guy. A year later I took my local CC class I came back to Mountain Range to train and learn more about 9mm's. They had a selection of rentals for me to choose from and once again I had a Lesson with Mr. Jule. I left feeling much more confident about not only my skill level but also which firearm I would be purchasing in the future. Highly recommend this place if you are a Female that wants to become familiar with firearms and get some practice in.

Sad to see them going- apparently they'll be shutting down the range this month and the shop side…read morenext month. Everything in shop (minus ammo) was 10% off as of 10/30/25. Because they're closing they didn't have too many items variety I'm sure they've been selling a lot and not restocking of course. We didn't get to go to the range part but the guys there were really nice. The property itself was also gorgeous. Easy parking spaces.

Rebel against the Tourist magnet go cart tracks, mini golf, bungee jumping carnival like fun house…read morerides and go shooting. Tennessee is the patron state of shootin' stuff. Mark Wahberg even said so in the movie "Shooter". Escape from the valley of tourist hell and head up the hill to Gatlinburg, make a left and BOOYAH, you're there. Bring your shotgun or rent one for 5 bucks. Try your hand at skeet or trap shooting. I shoot pretty regular and was looking for some practice time. Mike greeted me at the range and was super nice, not because he was sipping out of a moonshine jug and said I had a purty mouth (Mike was dressed in a uniform and super professional). No pressure...no stupid house rules...take your time, get out on the range and have a good time. These folks run a clean friendly range and are nicer than Mother Theresa. I brought a buddy who had never shot a gun before and they made him feel like a regular. When his rookie ass dropped a shell somewhere and ended up 1 short at the end of the round, Mike handed him a spare shell and said his box probably came short 1 round. I want to play poker with this guy! Value! $6 for a round of skeet is butt ass cheap. $5 for gun rental....really? That's a steal. Friendly conversation and a swell time in the hills of Tennessee ...away from the wife, kids and tourist hell called Pigeon Forge. Priceless. FYI, call ahead since this is a private club and you need a code to get through the gate. I don't have the number...google it yourself. Bottom Line: If you aspire to something more than doing laps in a NASCAR replica 1.5 HP go cart or playing Putt Putt with Sponge Bob, go on over to Gatlinburg Sportsmans Club and shoot some trap or skeet. Wipe the funnel cake sugar from your face and go shoot some real guns. Mabe you'll score some man points with the fellas around the water cooler when you say you went shooting on your miserable vacation.

His energy and knowledge of the terrain and our Ford Bronco made our trip a phenomenal success. The grounds were flawlessly manicured and maintained... and breathtakingly beautiful! You can see the unbelievable effort he takes in keeping things PERFECT. As for the trails, looking at them can be a bit intimidating, but if you follow his guidance and trust your machine, we managed them with a ton of fun, but with great ease. My husband and I had fun taking turns driving and coaching each other through the elaborate series of trails. Such a fun couples building experience! Easy to go for a couple of hours or just get lost in it for a whole day. We STRONGLY recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing off road adventure. We will be back!! If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you again, Dan!!

I was a little hesitant to come here because it seems to be geared toward Jeep's. However, I was wrong and so glad we came. The owner Dan greeted us as soon as we came in, he was super friendly and gave us a run down of the park and a map. After paying the $40.00 for me and my passenger. He could charge at least $60.00, it's well worth it ) We headed off on some of the green trails to get used to the conditions and the layout of the park. The park is very well marked and color coded with green, blue, and black trails. The green trails I navigated with ease and were extremely fun. The blue trails were definitely a thrill and even though I was in a full size truck, I managed to get down a black trail which was the highlight of my day. We would recommend outdoors in the smokies to anyone looking to off-road but still be close to someone like Dan who is willing to help or even pull you out if needed. I felt safe and one with nature on his land. I will be coming back for another adventure and possibly some more black trails. Thanks Dan for the great experience, and for your hard work putting together an amazing course.
