10.10.23 I had to…read morechange my previous gynecology practice as they no longer had practitioners within my network. After researching online, I came across Dr. Sarah Rose's name when I did an online search. I was pleasantly surprised how close this practice is to my office. It's a 10 minute walk or two minute drive. Also, the office is pretty fancy with their coffee, tea, hot chocolate machine. I had to ask for assistance. This is the second doctor's office that I've gone to that is this fancy. Dr. Rose was gentle, which I appreciated as I hate all wellness exams that require any physical contact or pressure. She was also kind, patient, and thorough in her response and explanations. I am so happy to have found Dr. Rose and this practice.

She truly cared--she followed up herself, worked tirelessly for her patients & even called to remind you about your annual appointments. That kind of genuine care is long gone. My experience over the last two years has been terrible. Since they expanded, it's like they completely forgot how to treat their patients. They don't remember anything from prior visits, there's barely any follow-through & everything feels rushed & impersonal. Now, they've added insult to injury by announcing that they're going to start charging patients for basic services--things we can't even do ourselves. Even something as simple as a prescription refill feels like you're bothering the nurse or PA. It's crystal clear: they don't care about patient well-being anymore, they just care about squeezing more money out of you. And to top it all off, they had the nerve to send out this email announcing the new fees--while shamelessly promoting their extra services at the bottom. As if we'd want to pay for even more after being told we'll now be charged for the basics. The lack of self-awareness is shocking. I even went back & removed the 5-star review I once left. This office is not what it used to be--it's become disorganized, disconnected & profit-driven. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone anymore.

He will ask you about your health, sit and listen. Then he will tell you what he thinks, what should be done and if he can or can not do. He keeps things real with you and straight to the point. He asked me to to do him a favor and that was to lose some weight because he felt like that would help me with my surgery and recovery. I did just that and not just for him but for me also. I had fibroids and he did laparoscopic hysterectomy surgery on me on 8/1/25 and he was great. I'm home recovery slowly but surely following doctor orders. Yes, I do believe that losing the weight helped with my surgery and my healing process and I will be continuing my weight loss journey once I'm able to get back to my little workout. Dr. Lizardo and his assistant was so detailing telling me about the surgery and what to expect after the surgery while home recovering and told me don't hesitate to call if I have any questions or concerns about anything. He even took the time to talk to my family that came with me and told them how everything went in the OR. I just want to thank Dr. Lizardo and his team again for everything.

They took me in 20 minutes late which is the reason for the 4 stars. They had so many people in the waiting room and I heard one person say she was waiting 30 minutes to be seen. I did like all the employees. Everyone was very friendly and gave clear instructions. When I got taken to the exam room and had to undress I was surprised there was only disposable gowns and blankets to wear. I am not sure if this is because of covid but I miss the softness of cloth. Also the spot to put your feet during the exam didn't have little socks on the foot holders so my feet kept sliding off. Some aesthetics in this office leave room for improvement, however the doctors and the environment were so nice it was forgivable. Dr. Huang was wonderful. She was friendly and answered all my questions about pregnancy. I liked her gentle touch and how much she communicated with me during the exam. I am very nervous at OBGYN appointments and she did a great job helping me relax. Because I liked her so much I will definitely return to this practice when I am pregnant. I also want to note that this office took care of many patients where English was not their first language. It's great that this practice can accommodate so many people.

Unfortunately, my experience at this clinic was consistently negative and created unnecessary stress during what should have been an exciting time. During my second appointment which was on a Friday at 3 p.m., I waited almost 50 minutes to see the doctor, who only spent a few minutes with me. When I went to get my blood drawn afterward, the lab technician told me they were closed -- even though it was only 3:55 p.m. and their hours are until 4 p.m. After I insisted that I needed the bloodwork done, she reluctantly agreed but was very rude about it. At my next appointment, which was also on a Friday at 3 p.m., I needed bloodwork again. This time, I told the tech taking my vitals if I could have my blood drawn before seeing the doctor. She assured me it would be fine to do it after. Once my appointment ended around 3:55 p.m., I went to the lab, where the same technician and her colleague refused to take my blood and said I could go to the hospital tomorrow to get it done. My husband had to step in and remind them that we both took off work for this appointment before they finally agreed to do it. Around my 25th week appointment, I mentioned to the covering doctor that I was experiencing pelvic pain and difficulty walking. Her response was, "It's only going to get worse, that's pregnancy." When I brought up that I had read about physical therapy, massage, or acupuncture helping, she agreed those were options but told me to "Google it" when I asked for recommendations. The lack of support and empathy was disappointing. Later in my pregnancy, the practice announced they were moving deliveries from Shady Grove to Holy Cross Silver Spring. I looked up reviews for the Silver Spring hospital and also discussed it with my doula, who shared that she had really negative experiences there. I reached out to the clinic to ask if I could deliver at Holy Cross Germantown instead and was told that was acceptable so I registered at Germantown. At my next appointment, I mentioned in passing to Dr. Prosper that I was registered at Germantown. She responded abruptly and told me I was "not allowed" to deliver there. When I explained my reasoning and mentioned that I had already paid for my doula, she was dismissive and unkind. That conversation was the final straw for me. I had already been uncomfortable with the practice but had to stay because I was so far along and couldn't find another provider. I went on to deliver at Holy Cross Germantown, where I had a wonderful experience with my doula and the hospital staff. Unfortunately, I experienced postpartum complications and scheduled a follow-up with Dr. Prosper. During that appointment, she told me she "couldn't help" and reminded me that I "chose to deliver somewhere else,". I ended up going to the ER for help. About a week later, I received a call saying that Dr. Prosper had canceled my 6-week postpartum appointment because I delivered at Germantown. As a new mom still recovering from complications, this was extremely upsetting and unprofessional. I then called the Silver Spring location, where I was met with empathy, professionalism, and understanding. They immediately scheduled me for my 6-week checkup and assured me that what happened was unacceptable. They also confirmed that they already had all my medical records, meaning Dr. Prosper's lied when she said she couldn't help me and she had no records of my delivery. I would strongly caution anyone considering the Rockville location to think twice. No patient should have to experience the level of disrespect and lack of care that I did during such an important time.

I'm sure the doctors and front staff are completely overworked as this office has a few critical…read morereasons why we left for a different practice. The scheduling is extremely disrespectful of people's time. The amount of hours waited cumulatively between the waiting room and patient room is the worst I have ever experienced at any doctor's office. The doctors offered the absolute minimum detail on visits and unless questions were asked would whisk off to another patient as soon as possible. The bedside manner of the doctors was not something we jived well with. As for the practice they would engage in avoidance tactics when asked what their Cesarean Section rates were. The office told my wife that the office manager or doctor would call back to discuss on multiple occasions, yet never did. At an OB you should know what your cesarean sections rates are and by eager to share them. The midwives were a pleasure to deal with but only after we started visiting this practice did they change their policy of allowing midwives to deliver at Shady Grove Hospital. They do not allow this anymore. They did not communicate this to current patients. Unfortunately something is very wrong with the management of this practice and I would not recommend anyone consider them, as I am a very understanding person and this office experience was unfortunate for us.
