Lies, all lies!
Gordon C.

Sent here to do a drug test for work. The paper given to me said they're open till 7 pm. Got here at 2:58 pm and they said drug tests are only until 3 pm and I had to come back another day. Fine, called to schedule an appointment and they said no appointments for drug tests allowed. Ok, so I came back on a Thursday at 9:03 am. I've been sitting here for over an hour and they still haven't called me in to do the stupid test. They took one person that came in after me and I'm still stuck here. Please hope that you never have to come here for anything. Their sign says that they offer high quality medical care that is fast. Yeah right.

Three hours wait just to get a urine drug test. What is wrong with this facility?! There were only 5 people ahead of me.

Frequently wait over an hour to be seen for a 5 minute appointment and the bathroom looks like something from a horror movie. Enough said.

My primary : Dr. Srilekha Puranam…read more Dr. Srilekha Puranam : Is my Primary who is an Internal and Nephrology MD. Extremely happy with her knowledge, f/u's and pleasant to work with. Been through Tongue Cancer then 87 Days Hospice and Dr. Puranam walked me through the hell for 6/ mo's straight. Everybody Dr Puranam is the REAL DEAL . Will stay with Dr. Puranam as long as possible Micky.

What good is health coverage if you cannot get in to see a doctor?…read more I am 61 years old and covered by Medi-Cal. I called to arrange primary care at Hayward Wellness near Southland Mall because I need a doctor closer to home. I am transferring from a good provider farther away--not because I was unhappy with my care, but because getting there was inconvenient. The answer I received was that I would have to go on a waiting list. There is something seriously wrong when a person trying to establish basic medical care is left waiting for access to a doctor. We are talking about primary care--the very care that is supposed to catch problems before they become emergencies. Californians deserve to know where their health-care dollars are going and why patients still encounter barriers like this. Any waste, mismanagement, or corruption should be investigated wherever evidence supports it. But patients should not have to prove corruption before anyone takes their inability to obtain care seriously. Alameda Alliance's own published standard generally calls for nonurgent primary-care appointments within 10 business days, subject to documented clinical exceptions. If this clinic cannot accommodate me, what is the plan to get me appropriate care elsewhere? Who is responsible for making that happen? I want this treated as a formal complaint about access to care. I am requesting an explanation of the waiting list, a concrete appointment option, and a review of whether applicable access standards are being met. Being insured should mean something when you pick up the phone and ask for help. Patients deserve answers, appointments, and accountability--not an indefinite place in line. This is unacceptable. It does not reflect the America I believe in, where basic promises should mean something and public institutions should answer to the people they serve. Something has to give--and it should not be the patient's health.
