Brought a less than 1 year old push mower here on a Monday. After some Google searches, I was 90%…read moresure the flywheel was shattered and I don't have the expertise to take apart a lawnmower even to replace a $2 part. While the initial phone call was fine, the drop off was cold and full of disclaimers - it would be $25 to look at it, but the credit goes towards fixing it. If it's over $150, they will call to confirm you want to move forward, etc. Obviously for a shattered flywheel, I figured we'd be ok, so I left it there. 3 days later, as the weekend approached, I called to see when I might be able to pick up the mower. I mentioned that I dropped if off on Monday and the person on the line said "THIS Monday? I doubt if they even looked at it, yet." I started to get a bad feeling. The following week I was out of town, so I figured I'd let them have some time. They finally called the following Thursday to tell me that it was finished - 10 days after I had dropped it off. I said I would pick it up on Tuesday. When I arrived at the shop to pick up the mower, I was greeted with a $115 bill which was $140 (less than the $150 phone call threshold) minus the $25 I had already paid. I was told that the mower needed a new blade, spark plug and that the flywheel was broken. Keep in mind, I've only had this mower for a single summer, have probably used it 10 times and I keep it in the shed when not using it. Disgusted, I paid and waited behind my truck. When the mower was brought to me, I was shown a rusty old blade that looked like it was used to mow a stone quarry, just so I could see how damaged it was. Needless to say, it wasn't mine. Bottom line - be prepared to wait, be prepared to pay at least $140. I can't imagine if anything was actually wrong.

I had made the MISTAKE of using Best Buy's Geek Squad and as they nearly broke my computer (they went to look at it, broke a processor by removing 1 end 'accidentally' and then the other end popped off & the college kid didn't know how to put it back, rather than nearly allowing them to send it to Kentucky, I went to Dan). I have referred him to family, to friends, and he was recommended to me from my best friend's brother. I always yell at people who make the mistake of going to Geek Squad to go independent, but this is the man they need to seek. He's respectful, well-priced, not out to gauge, honest, and a genuine good human being (how often can anyone say that anymore). He has helped with trojan issues, viruses, my PC working slowly, and a myriad of issues. I fully endorse and stand behind PC Rescue and their services because this man consistently provides stellar results.

I WAS NOT going to write a review about the lack of service and communication I received from them. I SWEAR I WASNT. I figured...I dont like hurting people's bread. The means of which they feed their families. But then I picked up my machine and SAW THIS! (look at the pictures). They used my laptop as a COASTER! it was sticky and shiny like alcohol or coffee. THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLES BELONGINGS ENTRUSTED WITH YOU!? And for the record, I am in I.T. I WOULD NEVER! NEVER put liquids NEAR a machine let alone ON ONE! I keep my electronics immaculate! I should have snapped a picture of it before I dropped it off. You will all have to use your common sense. I dropped this laptop off over 4 weeks ago. Yes you read that right. 4 weeks ago for it not powering up. Yes I work in IT but I don't have the parts or equipment to determine the root cause other than using my common sense. I explained if its a bad port it's a bad motherboard because the port is attached to the mb on this model. You can't separate them. Find out how much it is after confirming it's not the battery terminal. I replaced the battery myself so it wasn't that. Anyway they said they would be in touch. Not ONE SINGLE TIME did they EVER call me! I called them every single time. I had to reach out for staus every single time. 1st time yes I called 2 days later. And they'd say "sorry Mohammad these things take time I have a guy working on it. We tried this this this and this. Now we're waiting for a part." I sometimes waited a full week being patient, giving them the benefit of the doubt, giving them time. But I'd end up calling again because they NEVER kept me updated. "Oh sorry Mohammad I meant to call you but I been busy." 2 weeks then 3 weeks then 4 weeks. What!??? It doesn't take 4 weeks to determine the root cause of a failure. It literally takes 2 days tops. But that's what happens when you work with people who sub contract techs. Anyway I'm pissed at how I was treated but more importantly how my machine was treated. Take a look at the pics and see for yourself. Up to you if you want to take your chances with them. I was going to let it go then I saw the condition of my machine. No way should you guys be in business. NO WAY.

Or sometimes these dial-an-expert types would have me perform a quick fix and, in the process, change other settings leaving us with new, confusing problems. One problem Epson customer service didn't help me with concerned my printer that I bought because it was wireless. Except after a year it still didn't print wirelessly. Not only did John fix that but he set up 2 choices in the computer software so that I can print with the Epson connected to my laptop when wifi is out. Also, he understands what would be helpful for us to know and what we don't need to know. Just like I don't need to know everything about how my car works in order to use my car efficiently. We hired him to work with us for an hour, even though there are lots of things we know he could have taught us that day. After an hour, we were at overload, and just wanted to practice the things he showed us. But we will certainly hire him again to show us how to use our iPhones, the TV remote, how to use Netflix etc. He left us a folder with pages of definitions of "techy" words. He is knowledgeable about the PCs (Dell) my husband uses, and Apple products like my MacBook Air laptop. It's great feeling that we can still be in touch with all the young people in our family, even in spite of shelter-in-place, and also that we can access all the great entertainment available online. That's what John did for us.
