Patrick and Will have been great in accommodating my checkout and now I have a great platform for improving my skills. My last flight was in 2003 - when I quit flying to do "other things" (including starting a family). When I decided to start flying again in 2017 I went to Scanlon Aviation "to see what had changed and to learn about Cirrus airplanes..." (I was attracted to the enhanced safety of a whole-plane parachute.) Boy was I in for a re-education! Patrick has been phenomenal! A true professional. And I now call him a friend. So much has changed since 2003, I don't know where to start. I went through Cirrus Transition Training in his SR-20 (N150SA) and gained more confidence and professionalism than I've ever had (and that's saying something since my last airplane was a highly-modified Cessna P210N - not exactly a walk-in-the-park to fly). I recently purchased my own SR-22 (with help from Patrick and team) and couldn't be happier. Flying airplanes safely and professionally requires dedication, training and introspection. It's thrilling, fulfilling and humbling all at the same time. I can think of no better mentor than Patrick and the team at Scanlon Aviation.

I had him do my Comanche for which there were enough difficulties to work through with him, tha I feel a fool for een considering using him, and i did , for my Cessna 421. The owner quotes one price, you sign, you pay 50% down..then he jacks the prices claiming you made change orders, that you did not make.. ,and even threatened to "report me" to the FAA. (which makes no difference) . I gave him $55,000 in funds for two planes in one year, and yet he tried to jack the price an added $6,000 on the last plane...when he had at least 16 items he admits were incomplete. I then took the plane else where, and Piad to have a lot of his very visable poor work redone , and repaired "with out" the head aches and whining.... Geez. You would think that a two time customer with over $55,000 paid out to you in advance would get better service and better results. This guy simply whines about cash flow...and then tries to inflate the job cost, while doing substandard work (in the second plane) . Teh pictures tell the story all too well. !

He's too young to have decided on which military Branch. He has spent hours peppering my husband with questions, doing research and building helicopter models together, playing helicopter video games, flying radio-controlled helicopters and learning how to repair them after a crash, visits to numerous air shows, and a visit to Sonoma County Sheriff Helicopter Unit "Henry 1". "If you want to have a good life, you have to learn from birth to the grave." --Mo Siegel, one of the co-founders of Celestial Seasonings. For this youngster's birthday, his parents, both military Veterans, arranged a surprise flight with Butterfly Aviation and invited us via me as they also wanted to surprise my husband. I don't know who was more excited, the youngster or my husband, but these two males were beside themselves trying to figure out what was going on. Then came the arrival at Charles M. At the arrival to the helicopter and during actual flight both of them were speechless during the overwhelming experience. I myself was astounded at just how cool and beautiful and indeed overwhelming this experience is. The safety covered was extensive. CDC rules were followed. The instructors are top-notch -- highly skilled, professional, and genuinely invested in their students' success. The scheduling system is flexible and easy to use, which made it simple to plan lessons around a busy schedule. I have a full-time job with limited availability during the day, yet I could usually find a plane as early as the next day or the one after. Airplane availability has been excellent, allowing for consistent progress without delays. Throughout the process, I felt fully supported -- especially when navigating FAA paperwork, regulations, and other requirements that can be overwhelming for new pilots. I want to give a special shoutout to my instructor, Michael Hull, who has been exceptional. He's not only a fantastic teacher with deep aviation knowledge, but also a truly kind and encouraging person. He builds my confidence for the check ride in every lesson, and his clear, structured approach to both flight maneuvers and ground topics makes even the most complex areas easy to understand. Thank you, Michael!
