I have to disagree with the rest of the reviews. Randy is great and super personable and really nice, but the value is definitely lacking. I fell in love with his photos at a Wedding Show I attended and really wanted him to do my wedding. He and his wife Robyn ended up doing our wedding together in 2005, which I thought was so lucky at the time, but ended up being a disaster. I did not want digital images at the time and requested film when we originally reviewed and signed our contract (that little detail along with much else was left out of the very remedial contract we ended up signing). We got quoted a price for the album and photos, which was higher than the average rate, but we really loved Randy and his work. On our wedding day Randy and Robyn showed up and were very argumentative with one another, which to be honest was slightly unprofessional and a little awkward. When we finally got to review our photos after waiting longer than originally quoted, we found out that we had digital prints and not film as we requested. In addition, what we thought we were paying for was definitely NOT what we got. The photos were really ok, but had lots of lights and background things that took away from the actual images. Randy had said he could do touch ups when we originally spoke, but now they were saying that they would not photoshop/touch up any of the photos without charging extra for each image. Also they wanted to charge us an additional $500 for the CD of the photos (which were digital anyhow) and we thought was included in our package. The images really needed to have things like lights in the background and weird backround things removed as they really distracted from the photos. We narrowed down our album to the 30 pages that was allocated to us in the vague contract. I was really disappointed that they were not willing to remove the ugly lights and things without charging us. We payed double what other friends were paying and they got to keep the CD with ALL their photos plus had better quality images. It has been 7 years now since we got married and my wedding album remains a disappointment. I have asked Randy and Robyn about 4 times over the past 7 years to buy the CD of our photos. The first attempt they were willing to go down on the original price to $350, but we could not justify the expense. A few years after that I emailed and Robyn's emails in particular was very focused on the money and in fact she quoted me the original $500 again and would not budge on the price. What photographer charges MORE for photos 5 years after the wedding occured!!! I requested the pictures again a few years ago for my husbands 90 year old grandma for Christmas and again was quoted $500! Honestly, we were really disappointed and I will never get my images as I do not think they are worth $500-realistically for the quality I would not pay more than $100 7 years after my wedding. Anyhow we paid $4000 for 4 hours of photos and a 30 page crappy album and that was all we got! Way way over priced and HUGE disappointment for what I was expecting. Randy is very sweet, but the couple charge way over their worth and you will never get your images for a cheaper price even 7 years later!!! Think twice or really review your contract. read more
