I have nothing against Cavender's...great products! However the service is lacking. I went to the new location off of 20 and they were very friendly. So when I went to Centennial I had an understanding of what service I should receive. When I walked in there were about 3 employees standing by the register and all of them looked at me and said nothing. If I want to invest in some new boots or quality clothing/accessories I go to Cavender's. I usually get assisted right away but never in a pushy way. My most recent experience Jesalyn showed me some items she thought I'd be interested in (I WAS!) and was super helpful. My husband found a great pair of boots there and Jacob showed our kids how he shapes and fits hats which was a big treat for them. Lots of college aged kids there and more life experienced staff there makes for a good mix in my opinion. My only complaint is that the fitting rooms (although tended to) need to be renovated (c'mon corporate) and I think the store could benefit from more square footage as it's pretty crowded especially when events are in town. If you have a for any western items or a night out ladies, see Jesalyn. Boots or custom fitted hats go when Jacob is working, it will be worth it. read more

Omg finally my desire to own a pair of cowboy boots was accomplished this trip . On my last trips , i never exclusively shopped but just desired in my dreams.(thats me) So. There are plenty of options in texas to shop but i choose this specific location because the whole massive plaza is full of stores. There are at least 3 stores just for boots , hats and other texan clothing as well as accessories. Like an old school , i love to go in the store and try on things. In this big busy building , you will get assistance from well spoken and great customer service experienced people. There is a specific section dedicated to alligator tail and ostrich skin shoes. (Though they are expensive and there is a reason for that) Variety is huge, men and women sections are divided on each side of the store. There is separate section for accessories and cloths respectively. All sort of sizes are available and if you can't find your size then just ask and they will be happy to help you. My sister n me got two pairs of long boots. They were not only comfortable but looked so dashing. read more

Their service, it's lacking. We're from San Diego so we were already feeling out of place. We love country music but from the city. We were hoping to come here and get custom fitted with a cool cowboy hat. Service was a bit stand off-ish. We really felt dumb asking questions. We ended up getting an already made hat close to $200. Went to pay and the front was even less welcoming. Oh well. We weren't there to make friends. We just wanted a cool cowboy hat from Texas. **There was a friendly Hispanic lady in her 40's that was the friendliest. Walked into this store at 3:45pm today... lots of staff standing around talking - especially the young female employees at the front checkout. At no time during my 10min visit was I ever greeted nor asked if I needed any assistance, as they were all too busy chatting it up with a guy holding a puppy! My husband and I went in to look for some boots, a hat and I wanted a pair of jeans. Allen greeted us at the door and was attentive without being pushy, was respectful and responsive. He took me to the cute jeans section and even pointed the clearance items. He sized at fitted my husband's hat and helped him find an awesome pair of ostrich boots. The place is nice and neat. However the customer service sucked. No one attended me or greeted me. There was less then 5 customers total, but more then 7 workers walking around and wouldn't even say excuse me when passing by, but quick to stare instead of asking "can I help you?" Very disappointed. I left and went to Gomez Western Wear completely opposite results. Arrived about an hour after opening to shop with family for quite a few items. Spent over 30 minutes in the store and not one associate asked if I needed help finding anything. There were only a few other customers and there was plenty of staff. My husband said he felt the same way. The environment was so bad I refused to buy anything. I definitely found some boots, their selection was great however the staff not so much. I walked away with two pairs with barely any assistance. When I asked if they had more sizes in the back the woman informed me that they did but they're hard to get to so she won't be getting them. So I suppose fortunately for me I spent less money but it would've been helpful to try on the boots I wanted. 0/10 for every single employee I came in contact with. 7/10 for the selection. absolutely terrible service. I came to this store the other night at 7:45 too get a new pair of boots and some clothes for the winter. The whole time i was there looking at boots i was approached once by a girl who asked if i needed help i said yes and asked for a pair of boots in a certain size she left and never came back. So i got my second choice in boots instead. Once i was ready to go it was nearing 8:30 i went to the checkout and the manager was closing an older chubby white man. He acted like i wasnt there. Until i said if i could check out he finally said yeah go to that counter and i went to the other one and proceeded to wait. I asked sir could i make sure the boots are the same size and he said "why wouldnt they be the same size if theyre in the same box " with a terrible attitude and tone. I spent about $300 and consistently come to western stores and have never been treated with such unprofessionalism and rudeness from a manager and his team. My go to place for my work boots, love the sales they have and coupons they send out via mail. The girls are very helpful and kind helped my wife find her 1st pair of boots. On the plus side they are bilingual as well And if they don't have the boots you want they will help you find a store which carries them. read more

Overall, my experience was good and I appreciated K'Lea a lot as she guided me to the best pair of boots for my child. However; I rated this store lower due to an older male in the kids boot section. He was very rude and short with me. I waited until he was finished with another family and when I knew he was free I asked him if he could help us. He stated he was busy but asked what I needed, I told him no problem and went to the cash register and asked for help. They sent K'Lea and of course she was wonderful. I turned and saw this man helping another family five minutes after he told me he wouldn't help us. Our sales associate, Shane, was very friendly and helpful. The store was organized nicely. The female manager however, was awfully rude. The first time I encountered her, I was trying to put a boot back on a shelf and she very rudely got in my personal space, pulled a boot from the shelf and threw it to the guy behind her and walked off without saying anything to him as he tried on the boot. A simple excuse me or even waiting the 5 seconds it took me to replace the boot back on the shelf would've been nice. We had an issue with a gift card at the counter and rather being helpful, she spoke to my boyfriend so rudely that we left our items on the counter and left. You're better off going to the boot barn directly across the street. The manager we encountered definitely needs a lesson in customer service. We will not be back to this location. read more

Great experience. Staff (particularly Tiffany) was diligent, quick, and helpful. I was on my way to catch a flight out of DFW, and I called in to ask about size availability on 2 pars of kids boots. She verified inventory and had them ready at the register by the time I got in. I also asked about more other items I found online, and she enlisted the help of other staff to quickly find the sizes for all items in less than 10 minutes.
