The day after we got home with the car we noticed hand prints on the ceiling of the car. We sent her pictures and she responded immediately. Cavender's General Manager, Craig Burton, contacted us the same day letting us know he had made arrangements to have the car detailed in our home town so we wouldn't have to travel to have them do it. I had the most frustrating and dishonest experience that I've ever had with a car dealership here. I found a 2025 Ford Bronco at this dealership that was exactly what I wanted, at a great price. I went in, test drove it, and initially had a positive experience with the saleswoman (Becky). Because I had just been in a car accident and was waiting to find out how much I'd receive for my totaled vehicle, I offered to put down a nonrefundable deposit to secure the car. She told me she would speak with her manager and get back to me the next business day. On Monday, instead of honoring that, she called to say that three other people were coming to look at the car. I immediately asked again to put down the deposit, and suddenly I was told they could no longer accept one--completely contradicting what I had been told before. At that point, I took a huge risk and started the paperwork anyway, despite not even knowing what my insurance payout would be yet. Then I was told they don't accept USAA financing and that I would need to apply for credit through their dealership. I did this immediately while still on the phone and asked her to review my application so we could move forward. After that, I was completely ghosted for SIX HOURS. When Becky finally responded, it was just to tell me the car had been sold. To make things worse, when I checked back, the same car was listed again at a higher price. This entire experience felt dishonest, misleading, and incredibly unprofessional--especially given that I was dealing with the stress of a recent car accident. I was ready to commit, tried multiple times to secure the vehicle, and was led on the entire time. If you're considering buying a car here, I would STRONGLY recommend being EXTREMELY cautious. I had one of the most disappointing dealership experiences I've ever had at Cavender Ford in Columbus, TX while trying to purchase a 2025 Bronco Raptor. The truck was advertised and presented to me as brand new. After receiving the dealer walk-around video, I discovered it had 315 miles on the odometer -- far beyond normal delivery mileage for a new Ford (typically under 20 miles). When I asked, I was told it was because employees or customers "test drove" it long distances. It got worse: the hood graphic was ripped and peeling, and there was PPF residue all over the truck from a poorly done installation and removal. I was never told about any of this upfront -- I had to find it in the video myself. Next issue: the taxes. The dealership provided me with a full written breakdown showing an agreed-upon out-the-door price. After I accepted it, they suddenly raised the OTD amount because their previous tax calculation was incorrect. Instead of honoring the price they put in writing, they tried to pass the added difference back to me. When I pointed out the inconsistency, the GM told me the deal was off. I've owned multiple Fords, including a Mustang, and this would have been my first Raptor. I expected better -- honesty, transparency, and accountability. Instead, I ended up with a dealership that misrepresented a "new" vehicle, misquoted taxes, and then canceled the deal after being questioned about it. Extremely frustrated with how this was handled. This place has absoluly no customer service. When I called about my ordered wheel locks for installation. I was transferred to four people that knew nothing I was talking about. They were suppose to be installed three weeks ago. No one know what I was talking about. I asked for a supervisor. I was send to a voicemail. Just a heads up before you drive all the way out there, they are charging the "Market adjustment". Tacking in additional $5,000 on top the MSRP, originally they wanted an additional $10,000 over MSRP. After the typical haggling at the dealership got it down to the $5,000 over MSRP. Their reasoning for it was, because it was a "Special Order". - If your looking at ordering a vehicle, I would definitely recommend Mike Davis at Jordan Ford (210-373-6810). He is actually knocking $1,000 off the MSRP for special orders not adding $10,000. - On top of it all it took them almost two weeks to deliver the truck 100 miles down the road. It showed up dirty as could be, my kids said it was dirtier than their car seat. The outside had bird poop all over it and was dirty as well. - On our test drive the sales girl said it had a back up camera, delivered and go figure no back up camera. Also the seat had a tear in it where drivers left some lights with screws sticking out the bottom wear into the leather. Definitely if your unfortunate enough to buy from them, don't leave them a one start review till everything is taken care of. Service really goes down after that, and they don't even respond. My salesperson called asking me to take down this review, because it was going to kill her commission. Talk about a greedy dealership. Salesperson screws you out of a extra $5,000 and doesn't have everything they said it did. Then they keep her commission to yet. Cavender is making out like a bandit over there. read more

TERRIBLE experience trying to buy a vehicle. Agreed to pay MSRP on a vehicle. Drove almost 2 hours to make the deal. When we got there. vehicle had a scratch( not really an issue but still there). Once they found out I would not be using Ford Credit which was 2% higher than my Credit Union( RBFCU) they tried to add a $2000 up charge which they said in our first conversation they would not, nor did they mention that when that when I told the salesman I would have financing after he sent me the quote. While we were at the dealership they the changed the website price up$ 5k they however did not change the online sticker price. Manager and sales person had every opportunity to make things right and honor the price we agreed too. I agreed to pay msrp and provide my own financing. I even offered for them to give me a discount and I would finance through Ford. The salesman Dan lied and the Manager was a complete Jerk. Started a 4 hour drive from Houston and an hour into our drive we had a turbo air hose pop throwing an engine light. We looked for the nearest Ford Dealership and Cavenders was only 3 miles up the road, and we couldn't be happier that it was them. They have a large wait for service, but knew we were in a tight spot being on the road. Without hesitation they squeezed us in and got us in and out in under 2 hours. I'd like to leave my most honest review I had with this business. I was very disappointed to be treated so poorly. I drive in all the way from San Antonio is to look at a vehicle that David and I had talked about a few days prior to my visit. As I get there I notice the mileage that David had provided to me was not matching what the vehicle had. Red flag number one. I am then greeted by Crystal, very nice girl. Didn't know to seem what she was doing since she had to get Danny to help her anytime I had any questions about the vehicle. Which by the way was very unprofessional and seemed bothered to explain to us why the engine made a certain noise. Which by the way, was not normal after visiting another dealership and comparing. I can definitely see why the car was priced so low. Definitely took my business elsewhere and would rather pay a few extra thousands dollars more than have to deal with unprofessional employees. Had a pretty terrible experience at this place. I waited for weeks on end for a used F-150 that had come onto the lot but unfortunately needed a serious servicing that was going to take some time. I worked with a salesperson who promised me that I Was being kept informed and would be notified the moment it was ready. I kept up with this person nearly every other day over this 2 weeks period being informed that they were checking on it and it was not ready but not to worry it would be soon. I passed up multiple other trucks waiting for this one (As unfortunately this engine option is a little hard to find used at the moment) and finally after talking to the person on the phone this week after being assued on Monday that it was almost ready and it would be ready by the end of the week, I am informed that it had sold on Saturday with a "Oh, yea it sold on last Saturday" style comment that lets me know they knew it had sold but didn't want to inform me. They also offered me a MUCH more expensive truck with that engine acting as though its not much of a difference (Over 10K difference and it does not have blind spot monitoring). Overall, the salesperson made me feel mad over the whole situation because I missed multiple trucks and felt like I was on the backburner in this persons mind and not a valued customer even though I was in constant contact over this vehicle. I want to point out the issue is not so much that the vehicle sold, its the fact it had been sold for almost a week and I was informed like it was still available for almost another week and then told there was a way more expensive vehicle. If I had been told on Monday that the vehicle had sold over the weekend and that the salesperson was unaware it was available to be sold I would not have had an issue. My issue is that waiting cost me two other potential trucks in that 4 day span and now I am out of options for awhile on this particular engine. Maybe I will give Cavender a chance again in the future, but not this salesperson for sure. read more

The purchase of my car went great. The check engine light came on pretty soon afterwards but it was a 150 service fee for them to check it. I got the Ford Blue elite program which is a waste of money because my headlight is broke and needs to be replaced but I've been waiting months and no headlight. To top it off when I took the car in to have the headlight checked some genius decided to lower the working headlight to match the one that broke so I had no headlights because they were both shining on the road right in front of the bumper. And nobody has any idea when the headlight will be available but say that I can go buy my own after market light. So why get their extended warranty? Anyways it's a waste of money here. read more

I would have given a zero star as that is not an option, let me tell you I have haggled with these guys for over a month on a used truck and finally got them to agree to my price, and even have the sales invoice and agreed upon by everyone, sent my excellent credit to them, and let them know I was coming in the next day and then they called me right before closing and said I'm sorry but someone higher up from a different location, said they couldn't sell it for that price, after I already have an agreed upon price. Then they push you to use their financing, which I don't need so they can get a kick back. This dealership not only needs new owners with ethics, but buyer beware as they are practicing deceptive trade practices and thus far have gotten away with it. My salesman was very diligent and good, even the GM agreed on the price. I've never been disrespected like this from any other dealership, period! IF, I had ever treated one of my very loyal customers this way, I would be out of business!!! and from I can read all a lot of reviews of this company, is that this is a normal practice for them. I mean it's a good dealership my sales person Tammy she was a very nice lady I felt welcomed with her I bought a 2019 Nissan Altima it's a nice car but you'd think they would wash it rlly good give you a deal with service deals like every other dealership does. Car was not washed right at all. Day before I picked up they told me they would have it ready and show room ready but honestly it was just a horrible job they did cleaning it and before I left they said they would check out the tires because I didn't like how the tread was so low and I mentioned that before the deal was done but I guess the customers concerns don't rlly matter to them Over all it's ok not that good. read more
