Cielos offers a quiet oasis amidst grapevines at the foot of the Andes mountains. With only 16 guest rooms, this modern boutique getaway offers a space of solace and rejuvenation. Our room felt very spacious with a living area downstairs, and bedroom upstairs. It felt like a separate pod built outside, yet in. You couldn't hear anyone else. The rooms were modern works of art. It felt like I had stepped into a magazine. Like true Swiss fashion the room had a Nespresso machine. Each room had their own patio overlooking the gardens. The hotel had an exercise path, with exercise stops, and a beautiful pool. The cost of our hotel room came with a buffet breakfast, free wifi, and one free hammam spa circuit. The spa is the first traditional Turkish hammam spa in Latin America. The spa staff takes you through multiple stops of wet saunas, exfoliating, and warm pool. We added a 30-minute oil massage to our free spa experience, and it was amazing!! After the spa circuit, we were taken to the relaxation room with sleeping pods. There was tea, refreshments, and snacks awaiting us. Phenomenal spa experience. The hotel has free parking within an enclosed gate. Upon entering the gate and parking our car, we were warmly welcomed with a glass of wine and asked to wait for a golf cart to come to pick us up. They whisked us away to the main hotel entrance where we were seated to check in. I have never been so pampered before! After checking us in, someone showed us to our room, explained all the nuances of the room, and hotel, and then left us. A welcome note and a small bottle of wine for two awaited us to enjoy. The hotel restaurant was very good. We ate there each night. We were never disappointed. The service was knowledgeable and friendly. LIke everyone else in the hotel. They had a good wine selection. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Many things to select from. The meal prices were actually affordable for such a fancy hotel. They also welcomed guests into the restaurant from outside the hotel as well. Each night they performed a turndown service, that included leaving a handmade chocolate on your pillow. Amazing chocolate! A phenomenal experience in a luxurious pampered beautiful setting.

We wanted to feel like we were somewhere else. This hotel felt like an authentic slice of Mendoza. This family-owned hotel is well loved and cared for by its owners. This space was their father's dream. He oversaw the building of the authentic design - thick stone walls, wood, with high cane ceilings. The hotel is clean and rustic with simple charms. He lived just long enough to see the hotel's first guest. The family now keeps their father's dream alive. We were warmly greeted by the staff with a glass of wine. The lobby is beautiful. It is a cozy community gathering place to hang out after a busy day touring the local sites. The lobby even has its own wine cellar downstairs that you can view and select a bottle of wine to enjoy. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many nearby shops and cafes. The neighborhood was very safe to walk in. The hotel is gated and has free covered parking. There are only a handful of guest rooms that all open onto a central courtyard garden and pool area. The free continental breakfast was simple but perfect. It even included cooked eggs of your choice. They made some AMAZING fried eggs. The staff was always bending over backward to help us. They made dinner recommendations and reservations for us each night. Sometimes calling multiple times to try and secure a spot for us. I would definitely stay here again. We had no issue with noise. We slept amazing well here.

I would never stay here again. The only criterion i have for a hotel is quiet so that I can sleep,…read moreand unfortunately this places doesn't pass muster. First the good: The brothers that help run the place are nice, helpful, and friendly. The location is good - walking distance to several good wineries, lots of nice restaurants, shops, and a little grocery store. They booked massages, a trip to some hot springs, and taxis for us. The rooms themselves were not luxurious, but they were clean and serviceable. The grounds are adorable. Now the bad: The noise was absolutely intolerable. On the Friday of our stay, their next door neighbors had a huge party that lasted past 4 AM. The bass was so loud it vibrated my bed. I could hear it clearly through earplugs. We could also hear yelling and cheering from the party, from inside our room. The music was intermittent, and when it was not playing the neighborhood dogs responded with their own "music." Honestly, I felt like I was trying to sleep at a rock concert. This is NOT the kind of experience I expect from a $140 USD a night boutique hotel. Of course, this not the hotel's fault! I emailed the posada and they actually came an hour later and knocked on our door and said they'd called the police. The man was very nice and said he was upset about it. However, the stress, anxiety and exhaustion caused by this issue was a huge black mark on our wonderful vacation. I'll also note that I'm not the only one to experience this problem. A Trip Advisor reviewer mentioned "pounding bass" from neighbors but I hadn't noticed that. It's really a cute place, but their neighbors really are ruining a good thing.

Diplomatic Hotel - Outside of front doors looking into the lobby. Great service by front doormen.

On my last night, I asked for a taxi to be called 30 minutes in advance, 45 minutes later the host asked me if I had the Uber app. There was then no doorman to help me with my luggage. I asked for a bottle of water while waiting for my Uber and they tried to charge me, I drank their non fresh fruit water instead. Two members of my party got sick after eating the breakfast. Would not stay here ever again.

This hotel is a 5-star, luxury hotel and although affordable for people paying with US$ or €, it's pricey for local standards. Our room was pretty spacious and even though we had two queen beds, it didn't feel too cramped. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub and they provide basic toiletries including body lotion. The bed was pretty comfortable but the pillows were not as great. They don't provide robes nor slippers which is odd for a hotel of this standard. The rooms have amazing views of the mountains. They have a small gym with a few cardio machines, some free weights and a multipurpose weight machine. Adjacent to the gym there is also a small pool which gets pretty packed especially in the early evening as people make their way back from the wineries. The breakfast is served at their main restaurant and it was fantastic. They have pastries, different kinds of breads and cold cuts, hot items such as eggs, yogurts, etc and even some sparkling wine for those looking to get a head start in their wine tasting. They do also offer espresso drinks free of charge and their coffee is nice and strong. I don't recommend making any airport transportation or remis arrangements through the concierge as the prices they quote are so much higher when compared to those you can get at the airport or even arrange yourself online through private companies. Make sure to pay for your stay with your foreign credit card that way you don't avoid having to pay the tax on the room stay.
