I called Cavalier Lock along with a bunch of other places in the morning to just check prices for my son who was locked out. Ingo was the friendliest of them all........... and even though I didn't commit to using him..............and he wasn't booked up..........he didn't push. He just said if I called back he'd do what he could. Sure enough in the afternoon when my son had given up hope of being able to find a spare key, or pick the lock himself, he grudgingly accepted me calling Ingo. But by that time Ingo had a bunch of places to go help. Nonetheless, remembering my son had been trying for so many hours Ingo got to him, and got him into the house, within the hour. Needed to have locks rekeyed in newly constructed home. Was given a different name, called and left message, and after several days had not heard back. (Have since heard this is the norm.) In the meantime, called Ingo of Cavalier Lock who (1) answered the phone immediately, (2) set up the appointment with a quick turnaround time, (3) showed up exactly on time, and (4) did the work efficiently and with high quality. I called Ingo based on a good comment I'd heard about him. He set up a time the next morning to re-key my lock. He showed up early with a smile and a positive attitude. The cylinder had some problems with being too loose but he took the time to fix that for me and didn't charge extra for that 10 minutes of work. I had him make 10 extra keys and his total bill was only $111.33! Having worked with a variety of locksmiths in the last 40 years his charge was much less than other locksmiths have charged me. Ingo was very professional and with his hearty laugh he made the normally dull experience very enjoyable. Excellent service. The young fellow they sent out was a little confused at first when he found out that I actually wanted him to lock me INTO my car, rather than helping me because I was locked out of it. However, he was still ready to assist. He locked me up tight in my car, and I drove it into the James River. I escaped by smashing out my window and felt like a total bada**. I tried to open the door like a wimp, but luckily the young man had locked me up tight, and the door wouldn't budge. I will be calling again in a few days, be ready! read more
