I had dinner there on 7/15/26 and opted for the catfish with two sides, and apple pie for dessert. This was not the first visit; I've been there before. It's not the fastest or fanciest place, but I'm glad I stopped when I was passing through town. I had the cold plate with chicken salad, cottage cheese, and baked apples. There was lettuce, tomato, and American cheese under the chicken salad. It was all yummy. My friend had the double bacon cheeseburger and fries. His was also great. We left full and happy. The drive was quick and easy from the hotel I stayed in. Don't expect the fastest service because the staff is small. But they're friendly and that's more important. :)

I'm a strong proponent of supporting local family owned businesses and restaurants…read more I stopped in this morning with my wife on our way to Beaufort SC The diner is not well decorated or modern but it's not a cookie cutter corporate chain. The older woman who waited on us was very nice and exuded Southern charm. She was the best part of breakfast. I ordered sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs and sausage. I tried to order grits, but they didn't have any. The coffee was very good and should I've taken a cup to go. The eggs and sausage were good. However, the sausage gravy and biscuits were not very good. Biscuits just not taste good. I'm not sure why but it was missing. The gravy could've been lighter and had more sausage in it. I imagine if you were just looking for an omelette with some fries and a side of bacon or sausage you would do just fine.

Woohoo It's sizable, clean and the staff very friendly! They also offer nice patio seating as well! I opted for the veggie omelette with hashbrowns and they sure know how to crisp them up the way I like just shy of burnt lol so you get some crunch or texture and then throw in some sautéed onions and oh weeeee you have something tasty going on then. Another thing they do exceptionally well is their cappuccino- I've been to Italy and had the real deal and this was super duper close the to authentic stuff! The portions are good and service fast! They really pack the omelette with fresh veggies on the veggie omelette! We plan on making this a regular stop anytime we are in that part of the country!

By the time our plates came our family was almost finished with theirs...they had the pork chop and it was really good-fried, tender, flavorful. SIL had a bunch of veggies, including a tomato pudding/casserole that was interesting and tasty. We tried the house made carrot cake and the German chocolate cake-both tasted like they were made from a Betty Crocker box mix. The best thing I had was some cinnamon sugar butter they served with the sweet potato. That butter was memorable! I went home and made some!

There really isn't anything around here, and it doesn't look like much. On a Friday evening, it was not busy at all. We sat at a booth, and were waited on immediately. There were two serving staff, and both were friendly. My wife and I each had a cheese burger with fries. My fries had cheese melted on top, which is exactly how you'd do it at home. Nothing special. The kids had a plain burger and fries and chicken tenders and fries. The crinkle fries were all done correctly, could have used a touch more salt. The burgers were fine, except the meat to bun ratio was off. They might have been hand-patted, and if so, they need to use a burger press or something. My burger had the right mix of sauce to solid. My son said the tenders were okay, a little over done. That's about it. I will have to stop in for breakfast, but I wasn't impressed enough by dinner to come back.
