Arrived just in time to have lunch (1.45pm) I could see from the clientele that they were local people. This was confirmed by a shop assistant nearby that it is a restaurant where workers from the area eat. Certainly there were no tourists, yet it is only 3 blocks from the busiest tourist thoroughfare. I wanted a steak which looked really tender, but it was all gone and the waitress recommended lamb cutlets. They turned out to be superb, amongst the best ever and were served with juicy fries. My companion had a mixed salad which had finely cut pieces of chicken and was smothered with Parmesan cheese. This too was delicious. The cafe au last was robust - a welcome change. Later we chatted to the (Ukrainian) waitress Anastasia who explained that they only have three entrees each day, and that the menus is changed daily. The price for two was e34 with 2 glasses of house good wine. read more
