Such a great lunch choice!…read more While working in Halcyon, my stomach was beyond ready for lunch so I happily listened to it. With a number of options available in the food court, it was such a hard choice! After my teammate brought back her pita platter from Pita Mediterranean, it kinda put a bug in my ear of which spot to go for without me even realizing. So I went! I always love a refreshing Mediterranean meal and loved the variety of options available here. From salads, pitas, platters and more, I was struggling to figure out which to go with. I eventually decided on a traditional gyro with a Greek salad side and a plain lemonade. I placed my order at the self-order station after asking the sweet young lady behind the counter a billion questions, which she patiently answered. After placing my order, my food was fresh and ready in about 10 minutes or less. I took my food back to a table to dig in and was in for a real treat. The lemonade was delicious - not incredibly sweet and the perfect amount of tartness. Perfect. My gyro was huge! I decided to dive into my salad first which came with a packet of Greek dressing. I almost wished that I had ordered a bigger salad because this one was so good. The lettuce was topped with cucumbers, red onion, kalamata olives and feta cheese. It didn't stand a chance with me. I found that I was not starving as much after eating that salad and didn't end up eating my gyro until I got home and it was just as good even after it wasn't super hot. I ordered it spicy and wish it had even more of a kick, but it was delicious. It was well-portioned and so flavorful, I wish it had a bit more onions and lettuce, but by the way I inhaled it, you would have never known that anything at all was missing lol. Definitely going to be trying them out again in ITP!

Enjoyed my first Mother's Day in Georgia, my new home state. And when asked where I wanted to eat…read morefor dinner the Halcyon popped into my head. It's a lovely area and close to home. We decided on the Market Hall and Mediterranean food sounded yummy. We were not disappointed!! My husband and I shared the Big Fat Greek Gyro with roasted veggies which were sliced zucchini and carrots. Since we were sharing, it was suggested we put it on Lavash instead of the pita. Otherwise, cutting the pita in half would be difficult to eat and cut. The Lavash worked out perfectly and was light and delicious. The filling was scrumptious as we chose chicken. The flavor of the chicken was excellent, not spicy. I couldn't keep saying how delicious it was. The roasted veggies were grilled without using much oil, seasoned spot on with maybe paprika. Loved how tender they were without being squishy. And how they were cut, great!! I want to go back and try more items on their menu. The cashier gals were very kind and helpful. Well done. Lots of free parking in the garage or across the street. And the Market Hall has lots of other food choices and many tables to enjoy your food choice. Also there is outside seating. If that is a choice and it's a weekend or weekend night, plan on the outside area being very busy with families and lots of kids playing.

The workers actually seem to like their job now, and the food? I'm never complaining when we come here to eat! It was hard boiled instead of soft boiled. It had not been marinated in tamari and mirin (etc) long enough to darken the yolk. The plate of Singapore chow mein has changed to include cilantro which we requested to leave off, plate arrived covered in cilantro. For years, the main reason I came to tin drum was to get their Thai tea. They did away with it. Now they bait you with cafe du monde cans on every table but no coffee available. Bottle drinks are $2.95. Place is loud and echoes. The person taking orders does not acknowledge you. We thought for a minute we just had to put an order in on the screen that was looking towards the customers (us and the 6 people behind us). We started tapping the screen since the person behind it was clearly not capable of interacting with us, he turned the screen off on us. Yeah, I may try another location of Tin Drum to see if they had their tasty Thai tea but I won't be back to this one.

I thoroughly enjoyed one of their burritos. The meat was so tender, and the flavor was to die for! The salsa with the chips was thick, and quite flavorful! If I wasn't so full after 1/2 a burrito, I definitely would have tried their peach cobbler. Ambiance was upbeat and felt down home! Will definitely stop back in for the atmosphere and more amazing meals! Excellent food!

The small appetizer plate they bring out is good, I ate the flat bread with a hummus I ordered. The hummus is solid but I'd probably try a different dip the next time. I ordered the Salmon kebab plate. I was asked how I wanted my salmon cooked, and I said well-done. But how they cooked it was amazing! The salmon was fully cooked but still flaky and tender, and juicy. I found it flavorful enough, but there is a salt and pepper grinder on the table if you need it. It comes with a roasted tomato and a huge mound of saffron rice. I liked the rice a lot but it is a bit plain. If you want a more flavorful or interesting rice, you can add a different rice for $4. Those extra charge ones come with a lot more toppings like different nuts, herbs, or dried fruits. I'd like to try more different dishes next time, but what I was very satisfied by what I ordered. He was quiet, mumbling his words, and didn't know what he was talking about. We all ordered our food and found a place to sit. The drinks (of that which were available) were very syrupy and didn't taste right at all. This brings me to the first picture of the soda machines. Much like a "Where's Waldo" portrait, the longer you look, the more you see. Except instead of a dopamine hit, it's a slight feeling of dread that compounds with every find. First, we have two drinks out of order. That happens, no big deal. As we continue to look at the machine we notice its base is propped up by two styrofoam cups. Still weird, but not too nasty. To the right there are also no napkins. I find this is more than a minor inconvenience when eating finger food. Lastly, but certainly most unsettling, is the bug trap set up just to the left of the machine. I appreciate you using a trap, but right next to drinks and where food is bound to be put down? After 10 minutes, I alone received my food. Except it wasn't what I ordered. I ordered the sandwich pictured in the restaurant which was advertised as the chicken salad sandwich and received what consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, and chicken. I clarified I had actually ordered the chicken salad sandwich (because this was obviously not that) and the singular man assured me that was correct. Another 15 minutes pass by and the rest of my family gets their food. The glorified bar food was mediocre at best and my family wasn't even interested in finishing. He also forgot an order of fries. This is impressive because of the 5 customers in the entire building, my family was 5 of them. As we were leaving, another poor man and his family walked in to order. I felt a moral obligation to turn him away. This was also right as we passed the pitiful 80 on the inspection report. I usually let this stuff go, but as someone who appreciates food, I felt it would be a disservice to society to let this place continue to have an inflated 4.4 stars. Thank you for coming to my TED talk...
