My big question is when will CAVA come to Seattle? I really love this place for its quick grab and go Mediterranean food, think Chipotle but way, way better. First you can pick from six set bowls or my way is the pick your own items. Choose from a variety of proteins and mine was the honey harissa chicken (extra $1.30 but worth it!) with splendid greens, harissa and roasted eggplant dips. For toppings I get the firey broccoli, fire roasted corn, pickled onions, cabbage slaw and Persian cukes. I mix the dressings with lemon herb tahini and Greek vinaigrette. Service is no frills order at the counter and the server whips it up. The ambiance is modern and the layout is mostly concrete and wood interior. It really doesn't matter which way you mix it up and it's all about preference since they all taste yummy! Come on bring to the PNW like soon!

I was visiting the area and was excited to see there was a CAVA right next to our hotel. The service was fast and amazing and the food was fresh. I am sure I'll make another visit during my stay here in College Station.

The food is super boring and lacks flavor. The service is fine. The food is not worth the price, save your money.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend the pita chips: they are so crispy and light, making a nice complement to the salad.

I was SO EXCITED to find out that there is a Cookshack in College Station!…read more We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday before heading home. We were BLOWN AWAY by the number of college students, dressed in their Sunday's best, openly praying over their food before enjoying some awesome chicken. It was SO NICE TO SEE! We ordered a family meal (20 pieces), 2 sides of fries and a chicken sandwich meal. We paid around $40. Great value! The food came out quick and arrived hot and fresh. I had a slight "issue" where I thought my chicken wasn't fully cooked and the manager reassured me that it was just breading but happily remade my sandwich to give me peace of mind. I REALLY appreciated that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, literally leaving "not a fry left behind." The size of my chicken on the sandwich was HUGE- had to be hanging off the roll by 2" on each side! Staff were phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Love the laid back decor. Plenty of seating inside and some tables outdoors as well. Definitely recommend!

Really good! In fact, it's a contender for my favorite fried chicken in town. The only undecided…read morewinner so far is Mess Waffles. The Cookshack has a different vibe and feels more like a lunch or dinner spot, while Mess is the perfect breakfast place. Alright, who am I reviewing again? Right. The Cookshack has some great options, and my wife and I went for the Chicken & Waffles. I chose the hottest seasoning they had--pretty sure it was ghost pepper--and yeah, it was spicy but didn't make me miserable. There was a lot of food, and it definitely filled us up. My wife got mac n cheese with hers and really enjoyed every bite. The cashier was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is great for a lunch or dinner date. Plus, they have large booths, which we really appreciate.

If you worship at the Altar of Sourdough, I have found the Gates of Bread Heaven…read more I have sourdough across this Land from Florida to California and THIS is the best flavored sourdough I have ever had in my decades of eating. The crust has a chew to it that is firm but gives way soon enough after biting. What it gives way to is a crumb that is soft, textured and smells like a double dose of sourdough yeast. The starter is at least 25 years old and boy howdy, it really packs a punch. So much so, I asked an employee there if they sold starter. I would have bought some to use and grow at home. Enough about their star item ... let's go over the lunch I enjoyed there yesterday (15May26, got a free cookie on their birthday). I had their Crawfish Mac and Cheese in a bread bowl. The pasta was curly and cooked al-dente, as any pasta should be. The pieces of crawfish had a slight, very slight dusting of bread crumbs on them that added a nice texture to the forkful of pasta and creamy cheesiness that is a hallmark of mac n cheese. Needless to say, I managed to finish the contents of the bowl (the plug of bread removed is also served) and about half of the wonderful bread bowl before forcing myself to just stop. The remains were dutifully doggie bagged and brought with me as a snack to be enjoyed on the drive home. I will be in College Station many times over the next four years and when there, Blue Baker is definitely on my list of places to get great bread and a good lunch. There are three in Aggieland, so try them all if you are nearby. Ciao, Darrell

Bar drinks are above par, housemade syrups and fresh juices. The bartender served us. She, Lacey (if I remember correctly) was great, had good recommendations and was very knowledgeable. My son had the scallops shrimp and grits, he cleaned the plate. I had chicken fries steak and fries with jalapeño gravy. Food was very good. Definitely be visiting this place again!!

I really wanted to like this place but, for the price, it's just not anything to write home about…read more So let's start with the good: - cocktails and mocktails were tasty - calamari appetizer, jalapeño chicken fried steak and the halibut dishes were tasty But that's where it ends. My son ordered the scallops and to say they were gritty was an understatement. And the service...well when we could flag our waitress down we got service. Otherwise she was nowhere to be found. My husband flagged down another waitress after we had been sitting there for 15 minutes without any water or drinks. We also had to flag her down for the check. Considering the price tag for the night, I expected the service to be better.
