Braised lamb and super green bowl
Glen W.

Today I decided to have a late lunch at CAVA Grill in College Park, and I was really satisfied with the quick service, quality of the food and cleanliness inside of the casual restaurant. I had a super green bowl with rice and braised lamb. I added several of my favorite sides and sauces, and completed the meal with an order of pita chips, the pita chips are so good I highly recommend them. Cava grill continues to be one of my go to fast casual restaurants because of their freshness and price the food amount ratio. I definitely recommend them for lunch and or dinner if you don't feel like cooking because of the mini options that they have. They are also a good choice if you're one that is trying to track their nutritional intake because of all the available nutritional facts you can find within the store.

Food

The service was amazing, I was served by Donald wonderful person and very kind and the food was very good

Build your own bowl

My first time trying Cava! There aren't any locations near me where I'm from, so seeing that it was nearby where I was staying in my trip to the East Coast made me have to go. The process is basically a build-your-own style just like Chipotle, but for Mediterranean food. The portions are quite generous for the price as well, and service was fast. I got a build-your-own bowl with half rice half salad, falafel, hummus and tzatziki, plenty of veggies, and tahini sauce. They also give you a complementary side of pita bread! The bowl was seriously so good. With everything mixed together, it was all so fresh and delicious. I love falafel, and theirs was really good. A bit chewier and less crispy than other places, but felt less greasy and I liked the flavor. Overall, I love this spot and I would definitely be a regular if it was closer to where I lived!

"Saffron Basmati Rice"

Literally so exhausted of making this same review. If it says Saffron Rice, why is there no saffron? Three times this week all plain white rice. It throws off the bowl. Silver spring is the only cava that does saffron right, their food is way more flavorful in general. This location is close to my home so I always come here but if I have to travel 30minutes I will start, this is crazy.

it seems like there's a bowl-type franchise for every cuisine nowadays but Cava remains one of my favorites. Their portion sizes are generous and their food is refreshing! I highly recommend spending the extra $2 Cava bowls are from Chipotle...so worth!

My first time at this Cava. I had a good experience. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Since there was no line I was waited on immediately. I ordered my usual meal. All the ingredients were fresh and available. They accomodated my request for extra toppings. I was in and out in minutes.

Cava is one of my favorite places to eat and I've been going to this location ever since they opened. The food is absolutely delicious and filling. I enjoy the complimentary pita that comes with the meal. However, I've recently started to notice that when I place a mobile order for pickup, there items missing in my order. Recently I had asked for arugula in my bowl but received mainly romaine lettuce. In addition, there was barely any sauce drizzled on the top. I would be mindful to double check everything before you leave the restaurant.

Opening day at CAVA College Park!

I got a Mediterranean bowl. It was tasty, but I felt like the portion size was too small to be a satisfying lunch.

Cedars Of Lebanon - Lamb Kabob

Cedars Of Lebanon

The Cedars of Lebanon is an easily-overlooked cafe right on the corner of the Old Greenbelt…read moreShopping Center which is a lovely hidden gem. I spent every summer in this town, growing up, and I never discovered this restaurant until a precious friend brought me here a few years ago. It's a dated, though efficient, and charming, cafe with fresh dishes you might love. Firstly, if you plan on having lunch here on a Monday, make sure you are able to finish by 2:45 since they close by 3pm. All other days, they are open past 8pm. We started with the sweet potato soup despite the fact that the reviews for the lentil soup here are the highest. Yes! If it's featured: get it! The turmeric and coconut milk make this soup delightful. The herbs made it so fresh and there was just the right amount of sweetness and gentle heat. Parsley really adds to this recipe and I'm not usually a fan of this herb. The pitas are soft, thin and light. Love them. We needed to order more. I've never had such paper-thin pitas. Yum! I love love love the hummus, here. It is nothing short of divine. The flavors are fabulous and deeply complex. You can really taste the tahini. The olive oil is mild and delicious. I exclaimed, "the hummus was the best ever." And then 5 minutes later, I read a review by Yelper James H. where he says it's the best ever and, "... this hummus at Cedars of Lebanon might have ruined all other hummus for me forever." While I've had similar swooning feelings over the hummus at Lebanese Taverna in Tyson's Corner, this hummus is at least a top contender if not the metro DC area's hummus winner. The cucumber mint yogurt salad is nice, cold and refreshing. You can really taste the mint. I would order this yogurt salad with every meal. The falafel pizza is unusual and fresh. Straight away-- you can taste the tahini, parsley and couscous. The dough is grainy and natural. And there are radishes on this falafel pizza: not overpowering. For the $9 or so pricepoint, this dish is a true labor of love. To prep all of these vegetables, even with food processors, must take time. How novel of a dish! Put the yogurt salad on this pizza. You will thank me. And I only did it because I was watching someone else slather it on. There were at least 12 desserts on the menu. Meow. If we weren't so full of pita, hummus, tahini and fresh veggies, we certainly would love to taste a few of these. As well as the Turkish coffee, with an authentic ceramic and metal carafé presentation.

Pretty easy, breezy no-frills restaurant…read more We stopped by Cedars of Lebanon, because it was one of the few places that had outdoor seating and was not full. The restaurant has a small outdoor dining area with three four-seater tables, which was find for our two dogs. The experience overall was pretty low key, which necessarily is not a bad thing. Although there is waiter/waitress service, you will have to order your food at the cashier's counter. Actually, maybe that's only a thing if you are dining outside. The menu has a nice mix of Middle Eastern dishes. I went with a beef (or maybe it was lamb) kabob plate. The portions were fine and my meal was pretty good. It was not out of this world amazing, but it got the job done. I thought that the prices were pretty good for the area and the amount of food received. Although the food was fine, I do not think that I would go out of my way (e.g., driving more than 30 minutes) to dine here. Just be aware that the restaurant does not serve alcoholic beverages.

We strolled the beautiful and quaint neighbourhood for a little, until we found Olive Lounge!! After taking a glance at their HH menu -- our decision was easy, the food and drink options were just what we were looking forward to!! I can happily report that the food was DELICIOUS & truly represented what you would want from a Middle Eastern restaurant. I was ecstatic to have their grilled halloumi & their beef and chicken kabob with kidreh and tzatziki was 10/10!!! The aromatic seasonings and flavours with the kabobs were divine, and perfectly complimented the kidreh (spiced rice, garlic, chick peas). My husband had the Takoma Burger which was equally fantastic - and only $10 with a side of fries on Tuesday!! We will definitely be back to explore their HH and dinner menus more!!! This restaurant is definitely worth a visit (or several)!!
