Maria's burger with the grilled onions and jalapeños is outrageously yummy. Just enough heat to compliment the tasty cheeseburger with all it's toppings. My son loved his double cheeseburger with grilled onions. Cooked fresh and hot in a reasonable time. Maria was hustling from car to car taking/delivering orders; with a smile on her face. Not so good, fairly disappointing…read more Applebee's can be hit and miss, but this location really seems to strike out. Although my last experience here wasn't completely horrible, it was well below expectation. Service was attentive, but the server seemed rushed and annoyed most of the time. My friend didn't get a straw and our server was frustrated at her request for one. She was told to look in her silverware bundle, but guess what, there was NO straw in there! It wasn't particularly busy either, so that attitude didn't make a lot of sense. After we turned down extra drinks for a second time, our waitress seemed even more frustrated and was ready for us to leave. Speaking of drinks, the patron margarita is lacking here, so I opted to try a "mucho size" summer squeeze this time. The drink was refreshing, but way too watered down. Half of the glass was ice too, so it ended up working like an average sized drink at best. No wonder why I didn't order a second one, I wasn't going to waste the money. The food was okay, but options were limited. They didn't even have guacamole, which seemed ridiculous. There may not be many places to eat at in Liberal, but I don't think this Applebee's is worth it.

It's Wendy's... how special can it be....... right?…read more.... I was on a cross country road trip coming from the northeast part of the country. On one of my driving stints, I was just craving something familiar. Having gone through thousands of miles already, trying local specialities from across the country, sometimes you just want a familiar fast food place to fill your stomach. We saw the familiar sign and stopped in. Ordered some burgers and fries, can't remember which ones exactly. Now maybe it was because we were craving familiarity, maybe we were just THAT hungry, but hot damn... this hit the spot hard. Burgers weren't just warm, they were HOT. Fries didn't taste like they were just sitting under a heat lamp, they were definitely just fried to order for us. I was licking my fingers like some slob after every bite. I've been eating Wendy's burgers for decades like any average American adult, but this was by far, hands down the best Wendy's experience I had ever had, NO LIE!!! To the crew at this local spot, keep doing what you're doing guys!! Give these people a frikkin raise.
