The Dr. is not necessarily in the office during posted hours so if you need something same day (even if it has to do with prescriptions), it is impossible to get assistance if he leaves early. I also don't believe the front desk understands that sometimes things are urgent and you don't want to drive all the way to an emergency vet. Again, very nice Doc but difficult to get through the appointment making process and finding a somewhat convenient time to bring your pet in.

Last night, for example, after the family got home we noticed that our older dog was acting very oddly and his was squinting his left eye. To make a long story short, we called George as he was getting ready to leave for the night and he told us without hesitation to come right over. He kept the staff after hours to accommodate us. The dog was fine (as we all thought he would be) but George's point to me when I was thanking him was he couldn't go home knowing that our dog might be in pain overnight waiting for the office to open in the morning. This has been his attitude for as long as I have known him - the animals come first. His manner is no nonsense which I completely appreciate. She's also very comprehensive, both exploring issues I came in for and other things she observed in my dog, a Frenchie. I came in because my dog was drooling profusely and hacking and she asked several questions to assess whether it was an acidic stomach and gave me an easy to understand assessment of what I should do next.
