I'm not a big fan of gift stores, but both my companion and I were HIGHLY impressed with the very well stocked cigar humidor in the rear of the store. I'm an occasional smoker, but my companion really knows her cheroots and was literally thrilled by both the selection and the surprisingly reasonable prices. After we purchased a few favorites, in our AirBnb that evening, we enjoyed a couple of tots of bourbon and two vanilla infused cigarellos - the perfect end to the first day of our vacation getaway.

On my walk today, I saw these old buckets, wood bins, gas containers and shovels, carved with Halloween faces. Mike is the artist. And he is so creative. The owner's husband, Alan (who is so sweet and adorable) credited her with all the fabulous finds there. (And I have to give him so much credit too. She was not on the premises, and he was just wonderful, helpful and kind.) The "jewels" here to experience (prints, trinkets, tchotchkes, lovely scarves and wraps, jewelry and more) are just fabulous, as is the layout that just keeps your eyes turning on such wonders from so many artists. Everywhere I looked I saw incredible finds. Glass wonders with jellyfish. Beautiful Ayala Bar jewelry (my favorite jewelry artist). Gorgeous pottery from south of the border. As I first stated, I was "called" in from some lovely outdoor sculptures outside as I was walking the pier and found a majestic bunny, whom I've named "Two Moons Rabbit" and who now graces my outdoor space. Lovely place!!! Just lovely...and Alan even gifted me a little soap!

The items were wonderful, and the clerks were very helpful and friendly. My wife spotted some earrings she really liked, but she felt they were a little out of our price range, so she decided not to get them. After she walked away, I asked the clerk, "Did she like them?" "Definitely," replied the clerk. So, it being the holidays and all, I said, "Ring 'em up." The clerk quickly and slyly (my wife was still in the store) took care of the sale, and I was able to surprise my wife later with the beautiful earrings. We had a wonderful experience, so I highly recommend if you're ever in LaConnor, WA, stop in Two Moons Gallery.

Lots to look at here. Spent far too much money doing it. What's a raven, you might ask? If you have to ask, the distinction won't make an impression on you. For those that know, they're ravens, too, It's a safeguard thing: Odin made the raven an imparter of wisdom. Anyway... This is a great store! The proprietress is a fascinating individual with whom I loved talking, and if we hadn't had a mandatory obligation 80 miles away at an appointed time, I probably would have spent more time and money (yes!) in the store. It's on my list of places to revisit when we return to La Conner.

On multiple occasions, they have made me feel bad about asking any questions at all about the menu or not ordering quickly enough. They seem put out by serving customers. The last time I was in, I had a question about the size of a beverage, and the woman was not only rude to me, but she proceeded to talk rudely about me behind my back when I was in the bathroom and my friend who was waiting for me overheard at all. I guess they have enough business, because they feel like they can treat customers like crap. The coffee is nowhere near good enough to treat people this way, as well.
