It took several weeks and it was expensive but I get it that it's done by hand and takes time. When I went to pick up (they did call to let me know the boots were ready) they were closed due to illness. When I picked up it was clear the sole employee there was still sick so I stayed as far away as possible as they weren't masked and neither was I. The work looked okay - one pair had a tear in the heel leather. In the old days when shoes were repaired they would give a basic polish after the work but it wasn't the case here. The work has extended the life of both pairs and that's the point as they are well made boots expensive to replace, so consider the return on investment if you want work done.

When April finished with her customer she began the process for fitting my with a backpack. This process which included measuring her torso, what type of backpacking it was for day hikes or multiple day/night trips, types of weather, trying on multiple packs (with weigjts in the pack) took approximately 40 minutes, maybe more, but it was such a pleasant experience, it only seemed like minutes. My wife and April found the perfect pack but since it was not in the color my wife wanted, April placed in on order. We'll return in a day or two, try it on again and walk out with an early Christmas present for my wife we will now be able to share and enjoy many more years of backpacking together with a comfortable backpack. They were more than patient on the phone helping me to explain to a shipper that the item was going to a legit FFL and that this is in congruence with law/company policy. After taking the band of my watch apart and after working on it for 20 minutes, he became flustered, handed it back to me in pieces and asked me to work on it myself. After, I insisted that he return the watch to me in the condition he received it, his response was "I will have to charge you for that?". WHAT!!! Are you serious?, I asked. The police department was called by me and when the officer showed up the officer quickly determined that this jewelry repair man was under the influence of alcohol. The repairman admitted to the officer that he had a couple of glasses of wine. The officer stated, "you had more than a couple of glasses of wine, I've been doing this for over 30 years". My expensive luxury watch is now in pieces and will be taken to a reputable jeweler. Do not patronize this hack shop. This guy is a jewelry repair quack.

When asked if I could be grandfathered my original pricing they told me is what it is. No for the amount I'm doing no consideration for the amount of value I've done in the past disregard for a client sales.
