Once at our house, he installed the keypad lock we talked about, and helped rekey a bunch of locks around the house so we only had to deal with one key, instead of many (you can do this!). He was also just generally super nice and helpful and happy to work around my kids and my mom. He was efficient (in and out in about an hour), and the work seems like exactly what we wanted, and nothing we didn't. I don't have a ton of experience with how much these things should cost, but I do know that he did a great job and saved us a huge hassle with all the work he did. He restored several mortise locks in our 1907 home which had not been working properly in over 40 years. During that time no locksmith was able to help nor even want to tackle a lock that wasn't new. For decades we had Jerry-rigged multiple workarounds and he fixed all of the four locks in 2 hours. When he discovered that to make one lock work even better, he would have to go back to his shop and return the next day with the proper tiny part, that's precisely what he did. He arrived when he said he would, was cheerful and professional. And the cost for this service was more than fair. One word to the wise: If you have to go to his bricks and mortar location for any reason, follow your GPS faithfully. His store is tucked behind City Glass and there is no sign out front of that building advertising City Locksmith.

The locksmith - Neal - showed up exactly on time and after he inspected my house, told me I already had good quality locks on the door, and it would be smarter and much less expensive if he re-keyed the cylinders and made new keys, instead of replacing the locks outright. Neal even managed to make the doors all open from the same key! Neal is a man of integrity! He's an honest locksmith who does excellent work for a reasonable cost.
