I recently went on a 4-day trip and was very anxious about leaving my two spoiled kitties. I hired Rachel because I did not want to board them in a facility. I contacted Rachel through Yelp. She responded almost immediately. We met a few times to go over details and for her to meet the kiddies. One of my cats is diabetic and needs injections twice a day. Rachel has been a vet assistant and was very experienced with giving injections. Every day that I was gone, she communicated with me and sent pictures of my babies. She fed them, watered them, cleaned litter boxes, and played with them daily. All their needs were met. Rachel was very responsible and professional. Her fee is fair and affordable. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

Luna is older and no one knows what her life was like but she's very anxious and I will never be able to get her to a vet. She doesn't let me hold her or pick her up. I hoped to have her calm when Heather arrived. But Bella would have none of that and chased her from the bed just before she got here. Heather managed to corral her (nothing short of a miracle) and clip her nails in no time. I can't wait to tell my son about this experience. While we were out of the country and our dog sitter got sick, she stepped in with day doggie visits to help make sure the doggos were cared for and got plenty of outside time as well which was much appreciated. I really like working with Dr. Gulzeth, she is competent, down to earth, and direct in telling me what I need to know about my pet. My senior dog loves going to see Dr. Gulzeth and her staff - I don't think many people can say their dog loves going to the vet! She is a large dog and Dr. Gulzeth gets right down on the floor with her and my dog gives her all the kisses. I have two cats as well. She is extremely compassionate, especially with my older lab who requires medication and can be really fussy about accepting it! Dogwood is a nice kennel in a quiet country setting. After scheduling the pre-surgery appt. with a specialist (3 wks away) I called my regular vet office of 10 yrs to get pain and anxiety REFILLS for my injured dog. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the owner of Mayfield Pet Hospital, Daniel. Thinking he was texting his employee via PetApp, Daniel actually texted ME by mistake. ..."tell her she can go find another vet." What? It's just a refill of the SAME meds he's been getting. Did anyone actually look at my dog's records to see this is a REFILL & not a new prescription? Apparently, the vet who saw my dog last wasn't in that day, but the other vet who also sees my dog was in the office that day. I didn't care who wrote the prescription, if I had to wait a day for the other vet, that would've been fine. It is, however, a common practice for the covering vet to write a prescription for the Vet that is out. It's not "illegal" DANIEL, to have the covering doctor write a prescription for the doctor that is out. THAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A GROUP PRACTICE. FYI: it is also common for a compassionate vet, to give the dog/patient a couple of pills to get them by until any "issues" can be resolved. Unfortunately, on a day when my family needed compassion and concern, we had to deal with the childish and abrasive demeanor of the owner. ONE WEEK LATER: As I edit this review a week later, my dog is STILL in PAIN. We can't get into a new vet in time AND we have 2 wks. to go before we can see the surgeon and finally get pain/anxiety meds - Which could have EASILY BEEN HANDLED by our Vet of 10 years! Daniel, you should be ashamed of how your pride and inability to hold yourself accountable are causing a dog's misery and suffering.
