My two dogs have been guests at Dogwood at least a half-dozen times in recent months and have had wonderful experiences every time! Anita is a diligent care taker and I know my girls are in good hands when I am away. She has been very flexible with us in coordinating drop off and pick up times too. The kennel is extremely clean and my girls don't come back grimey and gross nor do they come home with that "how could you!" look so I think Anita creates a relaxing environment there. She is extremely compassionate, especially with my older lab who requires medication and can be really fussy about accepting it! Dogwood is a nice kennel in a quiet country setting. She charges a fair rate and gives her guests great service which is why we come back time and time again! read more

Anita was amazing with my dogs. I have two young beagles who are very attached to me. I was super nervous about leaving them with anyone. Her kennel is clean, very warm (it was negative temperatures during a snow storm that my dogs went there), and homey. She lets them play outside often and you can tell she really had a love for animals. She kept in touch with me while I was gone and even sent me photos of my babies. They didn't want to leave when I picked them up! I saw the negative review on here, but I absolutely disagree. As far as being early for drop off or late for pick up- this woman runs a business and has a life- just like a hotel you can check in and out at certain times. Nothing wrong with that. read more

We have boarded our fur-baby with Dogwood twice and both times our experience was exceptional. We had never boarded our dog before and after just one visit Daisy was more than excited to see Anita again which left us feeling confident we had found a wonderful guardian for our fur-baby. She deeply cares for each dog in her care evidence by the wall of photos of boarded pets behind desk and memories she holds dear. I highly recommend Dogwood Kennels for all your boarding needs. You will have a difficult time finding someone who cares just as much as you do about your fur-baby. read more

Absolutely horrendous. Please visit this kennel before you consider them an option. I should have. I left with my 2 dogs and will never ever recommend this business. I actually cried when I left her driveway. I am thankful I was "too early " for her, as she "wasn't ready ". She wouldn't even open the door. Something is terribly wrong at this kennel. Do your research people! If I could leave a 0 as a rating I most certainly would! I feel bad for my fur babies that I didn't pay her a visit before hand. This is an honest review from a women who loves my dogs like they're my children, while everyone else gave her 5 star reviews on her Facebook page. There is no way in hell she's a 5 star dog kennel. When I was told to come back in 35 minutes I left knowing I wouldn't return, she on the other hand didn't know that, and never even called me to see why. Awful! read more

I have been going to Dogwood Kennels for five years and always have a wonderful time there. Anita is a really good Mom away from home. I like to play in the play yard and meet the other pups while I am there. I would not go anywhere else when my real Mom has to go away for a few days. My sister, Maddie loves it here, also.
