I took a cat here several years ago. When I went to visit before my trip, everything was clean and I was promised a separate boarding accommodation for my kitty away from other cats. When I deposited my kitty and, 4 days later, returned from my trip I learned that he had, instead, been housed in the community cat area with other felines. He was traumatized and hiding way back in the rafters. I had to get on a ladder and drag him out. This was the only time in my 16 years as his pet parent that he hissed and spit at me. I promised him I would never take him there again. Apparently, another cat was given my cat's promised accommodation. The owner never explained, nor expressed any regret. Fortunately, my trip was short and my kitty only had to suffer a few days. This is the first review I've ever written for anything. The whole experience was just so bad. read more

Promised private "room" for my 2 cats, who are on prescription food. When I went to pick them up after a couple of weeks, they were in a large filthy, smelly community area with other cats freely roaming. There were lots of bowls of dry food out on the floor, and my cats were never fed their prescription diet. The container had not been opened. They were both dirty and sick with diarrhea. The stomach issues persisted, necessitating a vet visit and medication. I feel lucky that one of them didn't die as she could end up in hospital if she eats regular food. This place is off the hook! My daughter's cat has never been boarded and doesn't like to be transported unless staying with us. Well, he was in seriously good hands here and his reaction to them definitely surprised me. He was affectionate to the caretakers as if they were family (headbutt cuddles) and seemed to trust them. When I was leaving he managed to escape my grasp and took off under the neighbors deck! Instead of the "he's your problem now" I was fearing, they went after him, hopped fences trying to get him, dealt with neighbors and explained the situation. They got my cat back for me so I didn't have to tell my daughters and fiance "I lost the cat" the day before Christmas! Awesome service at affordable prices; with how my cat interacted with them and their saving my Christmas, we will definitely bring our snuggle buddy cat back here next trip we take. Catopia is an amazing place! My old cat Sis has stayed their twice and I have been very pleased with the service provided at Catopia. Catopia is a very clean and pleasant place to leave your cat while you go on vacation. My cat had a 7 night stay there, and was well taken care of. He had a deluxe suite so he could roam outside in an enclosed area, as well as inside. I would definitely leave my beloved cat there again. read more

Catopia makes sure my cats are not only fed and watered but are loved, pampered and cared for while I'm doing any kind of activity - whether it be moving, vacationing, renovating or even have guests over with allergies. Not only do my cats get the best of care and attention but they have the ability to go outside and lounge in the sun while watching birds and squirrels flit around in the awesome outside enclosure - Camp Catawanda. I am very impressed by the service I received at Catopia! The owner is very flexible with pick-up and drop-off times and the facility is clean and the cat condos are spacious, no cages! She obviously loves what she does and gives love to all the kitties. I even received a personalized thank you note with a picture of my kitty on the front after our first stay! This place is great. I had my two cats boarded here for nearly 8 weeks this summer, and I honestly don't think they missed me at all. When I picked them up, I met a few of the other cats that were there, and they all seemed happy and well cared for. It was very clean, and Karen clearly has a knack for taking care of cats.
