The payment software doesn't allow for tips so I'm not sure what the dog owners are doing or what's expected? Overall, the updates come from people who love what they do, reassurance when I'm away and miss my kitty!

Deb applies the Dog Den principles to everything she does - Calm, Non-reactive, rational, and sensible with lots of love. We applied what we learned in class to both dogs and walking them is now so enjoyable. We recently did a one-on-one session with Deb at our home because we wanted to work on some calming behaviors when someone entered our home. We met with Deb in early November and have been applying her methods and advice for the past 6 weeks -- and are seeing great results!! All of the employees know all of the dogs by name and sight, and their pick up process is super efficient, even during COVID. My newest dog, Liam, is a rescue from a hoarding situation, and is pretty skittish with new people, so we were nervous about him going to daycare. Dog Den sent us report cards, videos, and photos of him almost EVERY day for his first two weeks to tell us how he was getting along, which we really appreciated. Not only do they often send adorable report cards on our pups, but they also take photos of every dog they have in festive accessories for each holiday, and post them on their Facebook page (I look forward to scrolling through them every holiday and have attached some photos Dog Den took to this review). Dog Den also offers great puppy training classes that we took Keira to and will soon be taking Liam too. They also have had a couple of employees watch Keira when my husband and I were out of town at a reasonable price when we couldn't find a sitter. Even when my husband and I bought a house in 2020 and Dog Den is no longer conveniently on our way to work, we continue to bring our dogs there because they have been so wonderful since we started going there five years ago. I strongly recommend Dog Den over any other doggy daycare in Madison!

Reasonable prices, friendly staff the first time around. The second time I went to pick up our dog, she left with kennel cough. She was miserable and we needed to go to the vet.I called to let them know and they basically told me not to bring in a sick dog. Why would I knowingly board my dog with kennel cough? I repeated that I was calling to inform them that one of the other dogs had given it to her and to look into it. They treated it passively and unapologetic. We will not be going back.

Our dog has been kenneled a few times at FRK. The first couple times were okay- okay enough that we…read morecontinued to take her back. Last spring break we kenneled our boxer for 8 days at FRK. When I picked her up she could hardly move, she was so stiff. The staff sent us home with a collar that was not hers (wrong dog's name on it!) & leash. I called FRK to notify them of this, as well as the terrible care she received while there. No apology or discussion- they sent a (young, appeared to be teenager) staff member to our home (very quickly) to swap out the collar & leash. Likely so the next family wouldn't realize the mixup as well. Our dog couldn't get up onto the couch for weeks after her stay at FRK from being stiff & sore. We also paid for additional daily walks & playtime for her. She had urinary incontinence for weeks following her stay, which she never had previously. The thought of how much our pup was neglected & likely stuck in the cement floor kennel (even tho we sent her bed- was it even used?) for way too many hours on end over those 8 days, is heartbreaking. It has taken me this long to write the review as it's difficult for me to think about to this day. I don't want any other family to experience what we experienced at FRK. Our boxer went to FRK healthy & still, is not the same. I have vowed to NEVER kennel my dog again after this experience. DO NOT take your beloved pet to FRK.

However we were told that since our dog has not visited in over a year he is now considered a "new customer" and will NOT be able to get his hair groomed as they are not taking "new customers". We were told we'd "need to find another groomer". AFTER YEARS OF SERVICE this is absolutely ridiculous. We didn't ask for a same day or even same month appointment - and being turned away is beyond rude. I rarely give one stars, but this level of disrespect is not something anyone who loves their dog and wants an annual or biannual grooming should need to go through.

When Angela left, we were sad and tried other groomers in Pet Smart and near the area. No one compared to her. Happy to know that she now works for Tracy's and booked an appointment right away with ease. No waiting for weeks. My husband said that Koda was so happy to see Angela!! He was also was impressed with the place. Clean grounds. Pleasant staff. Koda loved seeing the horses on the farm and looked satisfied with his hair cut. We love Angela's work!! Our fur baby is happy again and looks very handsome!! Definitely recommend Tracy's!!
