I'm just visiting in CT and I wanted to get a good gel manicure. Most of the nail salons in the area didn't have very good reviews. Super sketchy about this place but I went since it got good reviews here on Yelp. The salon was clean and fairly quiet. The tv had the 5pm news on and one technician working. This was 4:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon. There was one other customer being serviced but was done in about 10 mins. So I picked my color while I waited. My nails are pretty square so I just asked for a light filing. It turned out square just how I like it. The cuticle cutting was good. No cuts or pokes. She was very careful. The color I picked first was a sheer pink (059??). It was way too clear. So the nail tech let me change the color. As she painted the first coat, I was skeptical because it wasn't super clean strokes but that's to be expected. The second coat was much cleaner. I had some issues with the lumpiness on my thumb but she fixed it right away. Overall, the service was great, the tech was really nice. Paid $26.59 ($25 + service fee). I didn't check the menu. I think my service was $22 looking at a menu on here but not sure if the prices changed! read more

My nails needed some TLC. Stress has caused me to pick at my cuticles. I found this spa on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The salon is not large. Four manicure stations and four pedicure chairs. This creates a warm intimate atmosphere. The staff are incredible. It is family owned and operated. And my nails look great. I got a full acrylic set. They use the powder. The first time I ever tried acrylic nails it was the hot gel and my own nails are so thin I felt like my skin under my nails was getting burned. This was lovely. First of all let me start by saying how old this little hidden gem is my favorite place to get my nails done came here on a whim about two years ago and never stop coming since ! The owners are beyond sweet super attentive And overall kind people pre-Covid are used to bring my son as he sat there quietly and they never once said anything in fact they were extremely kind to him to which made me like the place even more !! Now with the new Covid regulations I still feel safe coming here they're constantly cleaning they allow one hour in between each customer so that they can deep clean the stations they have face Partitions up and you're required to wear masks and so do they ! Awesome local business in Enfield ... came here for a much needed, but last minute UV gel fill in. Was able to get an appointment right away. Catie is so nice and the color selection was awesome. She actually suggested a special design (speckled pattern? Not sure what it's called, but it's in my pictures) that turned out beautiful. The prices are so good for the quality ... She was very attentive to the shaping of my nails and she didn't cut or nick me with the file. 4 stars because the price didn't quite reflect what was shown here but that might be because I added stones. I found this place on Yelp and decided to come here because it was the only place with a decent amount of reviews. I called on Monday to book an appointment for Thursday for a basic man/pedi. I remember she specifically said "okay honey" and told me the price was $37 when I asked. I went in last night at 5 pm and the female owner looked at me as if I was lying about my appointment. She told a worker to check the appointment book and the worker said I didn't have an appointment and to come back at 6:45 pm instead. I decided to come back since I really needed my nails done and I wanted to give them a chance. When I came back, I even tried showing the owner the phone call as proof and she wouldn't even look at me. It was the strangest and rudest thing ever. She didn't even apologize for her mistake. The worker that stayed to do my nails was super nice though so I was still hopeful that it would turn out great. The pedicure and manicure process was okay. It seemed rushed though since she didn't even bother putting lotion on me even though I saw a bottle of lotion right next to the station (it's usually a standard process from other nail salons I've been to). The manicure tools that were used were just dipped in a small jar of alcohol next to the table before it was used on me though so that made me wary (yet she used fresh ones straight from the package for my pedicure). The biggest downfall was the paint job of my nails because there is a speck of paint on my pointer finger and it wasn't polished evenly because you can see uneven gaps between my cuticle and the polish. This was the tip of the iceberg (even though I tipped her well) that made me write this review. However, I will say that I didn't carefully inspect it until I got home. Overall, this would be my last desperate resort if I get my nails done in Connecticut again. read more

After reading some nice reviews, my mother and I decided to try them one night last week (Wednesday) for a walk in pedicure. All I have to say is, use caution if you're going here!! I can't vouch for other services they provide, since we only had pedicures.. but whoever did my mothers toes totally annhilated them and severely infected them. It's been 5 days and she can't wear socks/walk normally due to the pus-filled, red blistered infections on both sides. Mine came out fine, but I don't know what happened to her, they were digging out the sides of her nails and stuff. I didn't see any tools come out of a sterilizer/barbicide or anything like that. They also stop in the middle of the service, touch their phones, check out other customers/handle money with their gloves still on, then continue on with your service without changing them. I should have known that is a huge health violation. I'd suggest the health board/inspector come down there and check this place out. I know CT doesn't require nail techs to be licensed, but I think from now on, I'll be going to MA for nail care with licensed nail techs. Beware! read more

I almost gave it a four but that would mean it was nearly perfect. My nail tech was very pleasant and professional even taking my temperature digitally when I entered the establishment due to COVid19. She didn't talk too much or pressure me to buy more so that was great and she even offered me water which I politely declined. The part which is 3 star is the cost of a regular pedicure came up to $30 (not gel). It's pretty steep especially since I've had pedi's with longer massages and a better foot bath at other establishments for less money. She was working alone so maybe she was fast to make sure she was available for any new customer? It was a good trip with the potential to be four star. read more

Don't understand what happened today. I wrote a good review in September. I have to change it. Either Amy is working too hard, seven days a week or she is loosing the ability to see past profits. I have been charged three different prices the last three fills. Plus, I made an appointment but was waiting 30 minutes while she squeezed in two walk ins. Either hire some staff or only take walk-ins. Change your gloves and go back to paying attention to cleanliness and safety and quality if you want to charge different prices each visit. No person can work seven days a week without breaks or meals. You are not super human. You are setting yourself up to fail. Run a vacuum as well. read more

The people who work in this salon are some of the most UNPROFESSIONAL people I've ever encountered in my life. The lady stopped working on my nails MULTIPLE times to bring her cellphone over to her friend to have a laugh. I went to get my nails and eyebrows done what part of that includes getting laughed at multiple times. I asked the lady not to round my eyebrows and thats what i got, and then when it was done the other lady started to laugh. They were so distracted they ripped my cuticle in multiple places. Then when paying I was told $33 and i was charged $35.10. If you want to be charged more than stated by them as well as their pricing board just to get laughed at and mistreated, this place is for you! read more
