Playtime Pup Ranch - Buffy the Wheaton

Playtime Pup Ranch

Oh my goodness, I can't give this place enough stars! I NEVER write reviews, but had to come in and…read moresay something about Playtime Pup Ranch. I adopted a rescue during Covid and it was very rewarding, but extremely difficult. She had been severely abused and although she is never aggressive or mean, she has issues trusting people. Rightfully so! But she absolutely loves dogs. I couldn't get her into a trainer because they said she needed to start with doggy daycare to socialize her which made sense. We were staying in the Schaumburg area (in town from California) and tried numerous doggy daycares and got rejected. No one would take her in because she was shakey around people. It was heartbreaking because I knew she had so much potential, but didn't know where to take her. When I found Playtime Pup Ranch, it was a good 30 minutes from where we were staying, even though there were so many others near us we had tried, but weren't successful. But so worth the drive! I brought her in for her evaluation, awaited nervously for the call to see how she did, and when it came, I was shocked and overjoyed. They reassured me what I already knew but was starting to doubt, that my Winnie was such a sweetheart and absolutely LOVED dogs! Yes, she didn't care for people as much but they said that will take time and that she absolutely had a home here. We bought a package and I brought her as much as I could while we were home but sadly, we had to return to California a few months later. I still kept her package and when we come home for the holidays, I will absolutely be returning! I hate that we wasted time on other daycares and wish we would have found this sooner, but love that we found Playtime Pup Ranch. I wish we could find an equivalent out in California! The staff is amazing and so so friendly, they put the dogs and their needs first, and the cameras to watch your dog while playing is such a wonderful touch! It was astonishing to me that a dog who loved playing with dogs was getting rejected at doing so. Playtime Pup Ranch gave my sweet girl the chance she deserved and I watched her improve immensely! We can't wait to come back any chance we get! You guys are seriously AMAZING! (ps- Pictured is Winnie wiped out from daycare!)

I just wanted to thank Jen for going above and beyond for our dog Maya, who is a 7 Paws a Week…read moreregular. We recently took our dog to a daycare facility that was out of state and needed a quick recommendation. She didn't hesitate at the unexpected request and was able to turn it around in a few minutes-all while dogs barked and romped around in the background! My dog goes nuts whenever I tell her she's going to "play with other puppies." She needs the company and exercise. Love the videos the staff puts together everyday. Very good lunch time entertainment. I know it takes a lot of work and energy to manage all the doggos, and I very much appreciate you guys!

I left my dog for 4 days, when i returned on a Sunday about 10:50 the door was locked. I called…read morethe number and left 2 voicemails, i left at 11:15 from the property. I waited until 4 pm for a callback from paws, no luck. i called multiple times and finally someone answered. I explained i was there before 11 and she said that she had locked the door exactly at 11. i asked is no one onsite when the store is closed. she said yes. (this has me concerned that no one is with her when the store is closed). at 4, i called multiple times and finally someone answered and informed me that they are currently open. i asked why did no one return my voicemails, she said that she got busy and didn't have a chance. I'm not very happy feeling that my dog is left alone when the store is closed... i'm assuming multiple dogs are there, what if something happed to any of them. Sadly, i won't be returning to 7Paws for business

There are so many positives and no negatives! We have been using them for almost 6 months now and it has changed our lives. I'll list as many of the great things I can think of. 1. Staff is incredibly friendly, thoughtful and professional. 2. Owners are personable and investing in the business (facility and website upgrades) 3. Online website is super easy to use and make reservations 4. Daycare hours are great for work during the week (7am to 6pm). 5. Daily report cards with photos and summary of our dogs day are posted online for us to view and download 6. Kennel boarding overnight for the weekend or a long week trip are excellent for her too 7. We can select extra walks or playtime for an extra fee for overnight stays 8. Daycare is very reasonably priced at $20-22/day depending if you buy a monthly package or not. 9. They will administer pills and medicine if needed too for a small, reasonable fee 10. They have great dog school and lessons too, if you want to add that on to daycare Overall, I can't recommend this pet resort enough to anyone who needs dog daycare or overnight boarding!

He stayed for about an hour answering all of our questions and going through our routine with us. He and his company are very thorough and good at what they do. I felt I could trust him and his staff to come into our house without us being home. When they are done with the visit you get an email with all of the notes from the visit and sometimes you get pictures as well of the dogs playing. This allowed us to go out late on a weekend night. We plan on using them in the future.

When arrived they wanted to use ropes to lift him with due to so badly soiled. So we supplied our own blanket and carried him to car. He was in obvious pain, soiled, bleeding from mouth. He was immediately taken to animal hospital and advised had to be put down for fractured back and kidney issues. When asked for an explanation Randa immediately sent a refund saying upon my request, which was just for explanation. When followed up was told I can't sue because I signed a waiver, that it was my fault for boarding an older dog and not boarded before. I never made any accusations or asked for anything but an explanation. I'm so devastated I left my pet/family member in their care.
