A couple people referred me to this office and although I was concerned when they said they're only in Santa Ynez on Mondays, they were able to get us in right away. My son is 4 and so has limited experience with dentists having only gotten one (successful) cleaning thus far. Dr. Rochon and her staff were so wonderful with him- they put him immediately at ease. She gave us options of course of action and I left there feeling very comfortable with the option we went with. She was very thorough, and patient and really went out of her way to make sure I understood the positives and negatives with either course of treatment. I should note that my son's situation with his (upper front) teeth is kind of ugly with them having broken in a place that makes treatment more complicated than most and even considering this I felt so relieved that he would be treated by Dr. Rochon and her staff. I haven't met Dr. Ruby but have heard wonderful things about him as well. NOTE: Initially, I called another local dentist listed on Yelp as pediatric and although they are a family practice, they are not a pediatric specialist so if my son needed extraction or the like they would have referred me out (most likely to Drs Ruby and Rochon.) Once in their chairs the dental hygienists were amazing and so patient with both my kiddos. Doctor Nobel came in afterwards to check on them individually and then spoke to me on the side about what he will be looking out for for their next visit. Definitely recommended Sunny Smiles, my daughter (8yrs old) doesn't like going to the dentist and she left Sunny Smiles saying how she's excited to go back for her next cleaning

I lot of things went wrong with the visit today. First of all - the Doctor "Linda Ngo D.D.S. " was the nightmare of my experience. She was definitely not flexible with the treatment, not efficient and not professional in my opinion. After taking new X-rays for my daughter they switch the treatment plan and give a couple of option. When I decide to take wherever was most convenient for me she switch the arguments and refuse to complete the treatment. She end up doing what she wanted. On top of that she skip the upper side work and only completed the bottom one. (with was definitely not what we agreed ). Now she is going to come back and pay again for sedation and anesthesia witch it's not cover by my insurance. In addition of forcing my daughter to get a root canal and placing a crown ( witch she never ask me what type-color I wanted for her). Placing a very visible silver Resin and crown on her mouth . Also, I found it very ridiculous that they are adding a fee to all clients because of the Covid19 "listed as an unspecified fee" There is a lot more things I can add but just to make it short. Please do not take your kids to this place. Very , very disappointed. They are just taking advantage with fees and forcing you to get work done you don't really need. Gerry.

It wasn't until he started complaining of gum pain on and off for a few days that I pulled the trigger and contacted this place based on our neighbor's recommendation. Normally I like to look up the providers in our network first, then their rating before calling to make an appointment, but desparate time requires desperate measure. I'm so glad everything worked out and our toddler now loves it here. For his very first dental appointment and I was blown away at how calm and how well he did. He followed all the instruction, complied with all the checkup and cleaning. I couldn't be prouder of him. It does help that they have TV mounted on the ceiling to keep the kids' looking up and be distracted, but I think I was more into the TV that day than our kiddo lol. Our dentist was Dr. Tam. It was a quick appointment for him since our toddler's teeth didn't have any issue, but he did take his time afterward to answer my questions and talking about our pediatrician who shares the same last name as him. At the end, our kid got to pick a toy from one of the vending machines or a bigger toy that they have. He went for the vending machine one, but they were very nice and gave him one of the bigger toy too. Which definitely was a huge bonus for him to want to come back. My 2 daughters liked Diana and Charlie so much that they are requesting that they have them at their next visit. Honestly I never felt comfortable at the dentist when I was a kid, so it makes me so happy that my kids are happy to be there. Both dentists at this office were informative and friendly. My sister is a lawyer and my brother in law is the DA and they told me that what they did wasn't even legal so for them to again ask for more money AFTER I already paid way more than quoted is not just wild, it's illegal.

He said my husband needed a heavy cleaning and they broke 3 of his teeth. My husband thought it was odd that the oral hygienist administered him antibiotics and sent him on his way. But less than a week later his face was so swollen. He went back to Haws only to have two more teeth break soon after. We had paid him cash for years and just recently got insurance that I made sure he took. Before I bought the policy. Interesting enough he no longer takes Anthem Blue Cross insurance. He knew his hygienist did this. Accidentally or not it has cost us about $10,000 to fix. No accountability from Dr. Haws at all. He is only about the dollar. We have moved on.

I received a call from a woman named Miriam who informed me that my appointment was being cancelled because we were five minutes late. I explained that my husband was literally right around the corner, yet she still insisted the appointment would be cancelled due to their busy schedule. I've never experienced such inflexibility or poor customer service during my time as a patient here. I genuinely hope the front office staff who interact with patients daily receive proper training in basic customer service and communication. A little understanding goes a long way.
