On the day of the party, she called me multiple times for help with directions, which added stress to an already busy day. She also forgot an item and had to make a trip to the store, resulting in her arriving about 30 minutes late. We had specifically hired her for face painting, but all of the designs were done using stencils rather than hand-painted artwork, which was not what I was expecting. Because the process seemed to take a while, the line remained long throughout the event, and some children did not get the opportunity to have their faces painted before she left. Another thing that stood out was that she didn't say goodbye or let us know she was leaving; she seemed to quietly pack up and leave, which felt a little unprofessional. On a positive note, I did observe her interacting with the children, and she was very kind, patient, and friendly with them. The kids appeared comfortable around her, and I appreciated the warm way she spoke to them. Overall, while she was pleasant with the children, the lateness, communication issues, and service provided did not fully meet my expectations for the event.
