Got the menu for the Catfish hut. And this is the best place to get a Dbl. Cheeseburger this thick here Panola County.

Typical "place by the lake" catfish place. Good food but the service can be very slow if busy. Go, but do not be in a hurry!

About a year ago I was driving on I55 and searching for steakhouses and the Enid Depot popped up in…read morethe search area. I have been wanting to try it ever since. The restaurant appears to be in an old time country store despite the depot name. The kind of store that has long ago disappeared. Upon walking in, our party of six was greeted, seated and immediately we felt appreciate for our patronage. We ordered onion rings and grilled oysters... the onion rings were huge and heavily battered and if you like them that way.... then get them. I prefer thinly sliced and lighter batter. Rings were served with what looked like comeback sauce but oddly had no flavor to the sauce . The oysters were different, not bad but we all agreed we would try something different next time... I think we were expecting the normal garlic/butter/parmesan cheese preparation. Half of us upgraded our salad to the spinach bacon salad. It was total worth it and delicious! Three in the party for prime rib and thought it was the best they had. The servings were generous. Two of us had filets...they were very good! I had the redfish which was also good and very rich! We shared a crème brûlée for the table as we were all so full...the sugar was a bit over torched but the brûlée under it was excellent! Over all the food was fantastic but what really set the evening over the top was the live entertainment! Needless to say we will be back. If you are with in driving distance or passing through, then this place is worth going out of the way for!

I ordered the LandShark rolls, Boudin egg rolls, Bayou Mac, and a southern-style catfish. Let me just say... this spot was VERY good. Now the real star of the show? The LandShark rolls Soft, cheesy, packed with crawfish -- man... these were dangerous lol. I'm almost glad I didn't come here earlier during my trip because I would've been eating these every single day. No question. The Bayou Mac was also on point -- rich, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering again. Honestly, I had no complaints about anything I tried. The restaurant was pretty packed, which tells you everything you need to know. But if you're in a rush, they've got a food truck-style pickup outside, so you can grab your food and keep it moving. If you're anywhere near Oxford or Mississippi State and craving seafood, this is a must-try spot. Nothing but positive vibes from me -- I'd definitely come back. Thumbs up all around

Sausage & boiled eggs with the crawfish, and I can't remember what the appetizer we had was called, but sort of like a squishy baby lobster roll and I could eat them every day for life. My children had week-long swim lessons in Collierville, so I checked out the restaurants in the…read morearea on Yelp and found FryDay Fish. I saw them on a Monday but noticed they weren't open until Friday. When Friday came, I made sure to check them out. After going back and forth in my head, I decided to go with the fried salmon sandwich with fries and a piece of catfish on the side. I also ordered a freshly squeezed lemonade. When looking at the menu prices, I felt they were standard. When I got my food, I was a bit disappointed with what I received. For $6, I expected the catfish to be a whole filet. I've seen photos of catfish plates where customers received a whole filet, so that's what I was expecting. It appeared that my filet had been cut in half lengthwise, so the portion was much smaller than I expected. Flavor-wise, it was just okay. When it comes to the salmon sandwich and fries, they were both very bland. The fries had no salt or pepper whatsoever. The salmon wasn't much better. I could visually tell that pepper had been added to the batter, but the fish itself hadn't been seasoned. Aside from the pepper, I'm not sure the batter was seasoned either. Additionally, the sandwich didn't come with any toppings or condiments, so it was very dry. I did ask for tartar sauce and ketchup packets, but I only received two tartar sauce packets, which wasn't nearly enough for both the sandwich and the catfish filet. I felt that the salmon was fried perfectly, and I did enjoy the crunch, but for $13.50 I expected it to at least come with some lettuce or pickles--or at least the option to add them. I'm not sure if the lemonade was freshly squeezed or not, but I didn't notice any seeds or pulp that would indicate it was. It tasted good, though, so no complaints there. If I were to try them again, I'd get the salmon grilled instead of fried, and I'd probably try the whole catfish instead of the filets. The food wasn't bad--just underwhelming. The customer service was good, but I do wish they were open during the week. I really wanted to like the food here, but this visit just didn't live up to my expectations
