For my wedding in November, 2010, I searched long and hard for a reasonable caterer who would prepare food up to my standards. Being someone who loves to cook, I would have rather died than serve dry chicken breast, instant mashed potatoes and canned green beans at my wedding. At the same time, being a bride on a budget doesn't give you a lot of options. I came across Catering Creations when I was at my wits end with caterers and am so, so grateful that I found them. First of all, the food in general, is amazing. They have so many options for the sides and main courses. If you are looking for a standard buffet, the cheapest buffet pricing comes with a gourmet salad (nuts, cranberries, feta cheese, real lettuce, etc), fresh fruit ,which looks so pretty on the table and rolls with butter. Already, that is much more bang for the buck than other caterers I considered. It's an even better deal because everything is fresh. On top of that, Catering Creations catered my event in Lincoln, and they were STILL cheaper than other caterers in Lincoln and Omaha...oh, AND they placed my china order for me, and picked up/dropped off all china rental items for me, for free, like it was no problem whatsoever. In addition to them being so accommodating, the staff just really went above and beyond during the wedding. They were so kind to all of the guests, they assisted the wedding coordinators at the event move tables, and waited a good amount of time to start taking plates from guests. Many guests told me for weeks after that it was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding. I can't agree more. I stuffed myself silly, and that was difficult to do as the bride! There really isn't anything more gratifying than sitting at the head table and watching people hoof it back to the buffet for a second heaping plate of food. Catering Creations is a wonderful company to work with if you need an event catered! Even when a blizzard throws off your plans and you have to pivot the location your event will be at! I worked with Whitney and she communicated very well with me. She assisted me one day with picking up our catering when our meeting location was moved due to a March blizzard, and the second day, when we were back in our original spot, they brought our food in so seamlessly and efficiently that I didn't even know it was there until I turned to see it all set up. They were also so helpful for our group that had some food sensitivities and allergies, and the food was delicious for everyone. read more

Professional, knowledgeable and organized. she communicated with us through the whole process and she is an absolute joy to work with!!! The food is delicious. Take advantage of the monthly dinners they offer so you can try different menu items to plan your meal. The appetizers are all outstanding. We had a small afternoon graduation celebration and everything from the initial contact with Ambyr Peacock, her help with menu selections, setup and delivery was handled so professionally. You know you've made the right catering choice when you guests greet you and rave about the food and service! The event staff, Nate, Stacey and Carmen were the best. Food created to feed the masses (i.e. hundreds of people) simultaneously, it to be judged accordingly. That taken into consideration, I definitely enjoyed the 'blues-inspired' fare at this year's Marianfest dinner, courtesy of Catering Creations. My favorite part of the meal (which consisted of beef brisket, grilled chicken w craw-fish beurre blanc, whipped smoked chili potatoes and baked corn souffle) was actually the salad: southern coleslaw with jicama, red grapes and toasted pecans in a pineapple cilantro lime mayonnaise over a bed of lettuce greens. So maybe this goes without saying now, but they're obviously capable of so much more than the standard large group fare of meat, veggie, starch. Definitely enjoyable, though not so much that I wasn't able to stop before eating well bey one my means, which their portions allow one to do, if you're looking to get your eat on. read more

Had a small party at our home. They provided everything - plates, napkins, serving trays, etc. All of the food had a description card so guests knew what they could or could not eat in case any guest had dietary restrictions. I used Catering Creations for my wedding in June, and I can honestly say that I could not have been more pleased and impressed with both the service and the food. The staff was presentable and professional, punctual, and SO helpful. They arrived early and took responsibility of various tasks for us that had nothing to do with the food (like running around and lighting dozens of candles and moving furniture). The food was incredible. We did a heavy hor'deurves buffet with stuffed mushrooms, toasted raviolis (to die for), grilled asparagus with lemon tarragon sauce, toasted potato truffoli, stuffed roma tomatoes, and crab cakes. It was devoured. I recommend Catering Creations to anyone in need of catering an event. Not a great experience. From the beginning, it was made very clear to us that they were very busy and had lots and lots of other weddings to plan. As a result, plans for our wedding we handled last minute; although, we were assured that it would all be ok when we asked about it. Fast forward to the wedding day... We never saw Summer. We never got introduced to the person who was running the show. We wrote an email to the owner with some of the concerns that we had from the wedding day. Her response was apologetic, but also came off to me as defensive and "poor me." After telling us how her team has been working days, nights and weekends, she reassures us that she and her team are turning away requests so that they can provide high quality to services. After going through each of our concerns, Jennifer explains to us that "There is no one working harder right now than those in restaurants/catering/hotels and all levels of hospitality all over the country." My wife is a special education teacher. I am a medical student. We both absolutely love what we do. However, this comment from Jennifer hurt us both, and made us feel like she could not understand how we feel during these times. I think it is fairly safe to say that schools and hospitals have been seriously impacted by COVID, and Jennifer's comment made us feel as though the our challenges are insignificant compared to hers. While I certainly appreciate their efforts and wish their business continued success in the future, our experiences with catering creations were sub par. First of all, I can't BELIEVE this is the first review on this caterer. Everyone at the wedding was absolutely raving about the food. This is pretty incredible to me since I've been to countless weddings and rarely walk away thinking the food was anywhere near outstanding. The highlights were the spinach salad with a delicious orange balsamic dressing and the entrees- apricot chicken and roast beef. Those in Omaha will appreciate this fact - Jeff, the owner, was the executive chef at the French Cafe for a number of years before he left to start his own catering company. My wife and I first had the pleasure of working with Catering Creations in 2005. We met at an event their company was catering, and we were so impressed with not only the food, but the beautiful layout, that we had to seek out the owners and get their information. Jeff and Jennifer Snow were amazing to chat with form the start. They have a passion for what they do, and they love to talk about your ideas. We've since had Chef Snow's delicious food at more events. Each occasion offered something different from the last, and the food was always amazing. They've also catered the last four of our company holiday parties, and we could not be happier. Their catering staff is wonderful to work with. We can't believe the effort they put forth. They are always professionally dressed and have an excellent service attitude. You never see them just standing around. They keep their buffet clean and fresh, and they are always very kind and helpful to our guests. Our guests always have wonderful things to say of both the food and service. They make a great impression! Jeff and Jennifer are very personable and great to sit down with to plan an event. They'll introduce you to their planning team and stay on top of each event. They communicate everything very well and give you all your information up front. They are neither the least nor the most expensive in the area, but their value is great. I used Catering Creations for our wedding in August 2007. I couldn't believe how many people RAVED about the food. I had people choose between three main dishes and the vegetarian dish was such a hit--it was like a pot pie in a phyllo dough (though my description does not do it justice). People were calling me after the wedding saying they couldn't stop thinking about how good it was. I also had a risotto with truffle oil that was awesome. Even four years later I remember how good the food was! The caterers (Jeff and Jennifer) were great, totally accommodating. Highly recommended! I was so delighted to have the personal attention from Catering Creations for my husbands birthday bash. Mallory and Theresa worked together to draft a menu of Ralph's favorite food. Chef Jeff sat with me when I visited which didn't happen at other caterers. We live in California but all my husbands family is here so I needed a lot of help planning. They took care of everything..down to monogrammed napkins. Before the party the owner, Jennifer called to thank me for trusting them with such an important event. I am totally impressed. The food was well above average for catered food. My guest raved, The Omaha Steak presentation was fun and it's true Omaha had the best beef. There were creative appetizers and the buffet was "well stocked" all the time. They did a mini dessert station with the birthday cake. They have a pastry baker who took a photo from Martha Stewart and duplicated it exactly. We had Ralph's signature cocktail and a full bar. All the service staff was also a stand out feature. Very polite and knowledgeable. I hope to have a celebration in Omaha again. Without A doubt Catering Creations would be my only choice to throw my party. Great job. read more

Jackie Brown, Sr. Event Producer at Catering Creations could not have done more to make the culinary experiences at our daughter and her husband's wedding more unusual, beautiful and delicious. The chef and his staff at Catering Creations prepared an entire menu of hors d'oeuvres and specialty drinks that were first served by waiters at Joslyn Castle throughout the various historic rooms. Following the toasts on the grand spiral staircase, a buffet of new delectable hors d'oeuvres were displayed in the formal dining room. Our guests were delighted by the presentation and surprised with the scrumptious tastes. The couple's intention was to provide an ample variety of small portions of unique food that would not normally be prepared by themselves or their guests. They wanted it to taste good, look beautiful, and keep everyone wanting more. There was more than enough for all to taste and enjoy.
