We stayed in a room with two beds that also has a sofa sleeper, so it was perfect for our group of three. Our room also had a small kitchen, which would be great for staying multiple nights and enjoying the beach just across the little road. The bathroom was a full bathroom as well. Everything was in working order and very clean. It's just like staying in someone's well kept home. This place is a gem, and very affordable. We didn't use the pool, but it would be welcome respite on a hot day, especially if you're trying to entertain a little one. I recommend just giving them a call and telling them what you're looking for. They will do their best to accommodate your needs.

After checking into our room we noticed everything was covered in dust and the linen bed covers were stained. The next morning the fire alarm went off five times between 7am and 10am. After taking a shower I dried myself with a towel that smelled like a wet dog. I had to take a second shower afterwards. The pillows are lumpy feathered pillows, the floor was also dirty.

We checked in and the lady at the desk was friendly & offered us a map of the city and made suggestions on things to do. We entered the room and were highly disappointed. Where do I start... The whole slider needed replaced as it was moldy and it didn't lock so they added a lock by bolting some gizmo to the frame to help lock, yet the door did not slide closed 100%. The only good thing about this is - I could hear the ocean outside. I'm guessing there was storm damage... yet the repairs were done badly, they looked bad. I cannot believe this no-tell Hotel actually thinks it is ok to rent a room in this condition. The bathroom was decent, aged, but decent. The small kitchen appeared stocked and a full size fridge was available. All the furnishings were very dated, and the sofa & chair needed replaced. There should have been no question to the management company if these items were "keepers". They are trash worthy. The online photos only are obviously filtered. No Smart TV, but they did have cable. Everything of material needed professionally cleaned or replace (couch/chair). I think the name "Resort & Club" is deceiving.

It's so relaxing to sit on the balcony and listen to the waves and enjoy the Florida sunshine. The resort is like a flashback to the Mom and Pop classic resort that lined the beach in the 70's and 80's. We've been coming here since 1988. It doesn't have a lot of the amenities the newer resorts have on the beach - but it gets a 5 star because it's family friendly and the staff care about helping you make the most of your visit. The location is close to Pier Park, St. Andrews, Gulf World and Zoo World. We have visited during Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally, during Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter and it's great anytime of the year... although on second thought, maybe not during a hurricane... There have been a lot of changes over the years and kudos to the staff and the resort board for keeping the resort clean, in good repair and maintaining well-stocked units. That combination is a rare jewel on the Gulf. We usually stay in an Efficiency, sleeping 4. However there are also one and two bedroom units. All of the units are updated, super cute and cozy. During our most recent visit, the couch upholstery (although the couch had hardly any wear) was dirty. It likely just needs to be steam-cleaned, and I flipped the cushions until at some point that gets taken care of. I'd encourage everyone to visit - and say hi to Iris in the office.

During our stay, the construction crew was blowing sand/concrete on the roof and it ended up being all over OUR BRAND NEW JEEP 2025 parked in the parking lot of Fountaine Terrace -we just purchased it in Feb 2025! We tried to discuss this issue with the argumentative property manager an older, grouchy lady named Gail. She is a problem to the property. We saw her yelling at other residents. My wife was waiting for the elevator, and it was not working (3 times not working during our stay) and I have COPD. My wife made a comment about the elevator and my condition and the property manager starting easing her voice at my wife - who is extremely physical handicapped with 2 neck surgeries - Gail is rude, aggressive and mouthy. My wife refused to speak or acknowledge Gail after this incident. One morning we were on the elevator, just us and Gail and when my wife and I exited the elevator Gail said "bitch" as the door was closing. We tried to contact FountaineBlue about her behavior but they told us it had to go thru you guys and our host. A man that is an actual resident there witnessed Gail's behavior toward my wife and we discussed it with him several times. It's sad someone like Gail is running & RUINING stays of your residents & customers. We do love this property and will stay again. But Gail is a huge problem Date of arrival - June 15, 2025

She was dry and not personable unfortunately. I do tend to let that weigh in on my review. Aside from her other employees I encountered were pleasant thankfully. We enjoyed the pool it was small but nice size for kids still. Not really enough loins chairs or chairs around in my opinion. The grill area was nice and the seating there was nice. I liked that the laundry room service was included so not cost to run the washer and dryer but they were out of service mostly. The gym has weights and a treadmill, not much to still nice to work with in a pinch. I love that it was dog friendly, however not really any specific dog areas for potty and walking. The room was basic but still nice. I didn't love how they don't provide fresh towels. You have to take your used towels to the front desk and put them in a bag and request more... I didn't like that at all. I would still come here again as it is close to pier park end and close to dog beach. It's definitely a place I recommend if you're not looking for anything fancy or over the top.
