The tomato basil soup in a bread bowl was like heaven. The fried green tomatoes were also a favorite. The short ribs with the smothered collard greens and the cornbread were on an another planet of goodness. You want fresh local oysters on the half shelf pulled from the water only hours ago, well they got you right in house with them lying on ice and a professional shucker right there to serve you with a beautiful smile. Did I mention the dessert bar? Freshly baked cookies, macaroons, mini red velvet cake shooters, lemon puff pastries, mini cheesecakes, and other treats that would leave the sweetest sweet tooth, toothless. When we did our site visit, it was exactly what we had envisioned and more. The space is beautifully decorated inside a historic Savannah building and offers thoughtful features like a Frame TV for slides or welcome messages, private restrooms, a private bar, and the ability to play your own music (which is rare for a small venue and comes without extra charges). Leah was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She responded to our initial inquiry almost immediately, something that really stood out since many other venues took days or even weeks to reply. From the first email to the site visit and all the communication leading up to the event, she was incredibly helpful and reassuring. As someone who works in hospitality and tends to be a bit of a "controller," it meant a lot to feel confident that everything was in good hands. On the day of our celebration, everything was beyond what we imagined. The space looked beautiful, and we were greeted so warmly. Sammy, our server, was attentive and fun, and the bartender was fantastic as well. And the food... absolutely incredible. Every dish exceeded expectations. The original plan was to have an outside wedding ceremony, then bring it inside for the reception but weather did not cooperate and all was done inside. It was all truly beautifully decorated and it all worked out great. The kitchen area was perfect to display and serve food. A mini liquor bar and sitting area was directly to the right and connected with the building, making it easier for guests to step out and beverages. They stayed in cabins on the property. Getting there requires some patience. From the street, you turn into a dirt road that seems to go on forever until you see the lake. The ceremony was on the "wedding island", the reception in the lodge and the dancing under the pavilion. The Southern food served in the lodge was good and the cakes were dynamite. There's servers were attentive. Despite having to travel an entire day to get here, I was very blessed to be at Beaver Creek Plantation.

I needed a place to stay for one night & regret choosing this hotel in Hinesville. I checked in later in the evening as I was unable to do early check in. The room itself was great but you literally can hear the people across the hall talking as the hotel door doesn't completely close & has a huge gap where you can see the hall from the inside of your room. You can literally slip something in between the door. The hotel room wasn't quite clean as you would expect. The room did look cleaned but there was pieces of hair on the bathroom sink as well as in the shower. Which was so disgusting to see as a paying guest. What made my experience so uncomfortable is waking up to the housekeeping knocking so loudly & trying to come into my room around 9am as I already had trouble sleeping & was so uncomfortable as it is. Luckily I put the door lock so they werent able to get in. If I known there were going to literally come into my room, when i just checked in late that evening, I would've instantly put the do not disturb sign on the door. But didn't expect them to try to come into my room. On top of that, I was trying to go back to sleep from the long flight & the situation w/ my dog. All I could hear is what sounded like the hotel door banging back & forth on the door latch from house keeping! I've never in my life stayed at a hotel & experienced such inconsideration for their guests still asleep! Would NEVER stay at this hotel ever again. This was by far the worst & most uncomfortable experience staying a at hotel. I hope housekeeping reads this & be more courtesy, considerate & respectful for their guests! The front desk ladies are nothing short of kind and helpful! I am sure they would have had the moon AND stars delivered to my room if they could!
