Saw something on Facebook about this place. An obstacle course? When I inquired I found out that you can do a 5 k or a 10k, with obstacles on their property! It was $5 a person. I went with a friend. We were the only ones there. You should plan in advance and let them know you are coming first. A nice gentleman got us started and told us to just follow the signs. It's self explanatory and self guided. Although we did have a chunky yellow lab lead us the entire way! The guide dog, no kidding! Plan to get wet! You swim across a couple of ponds. All the obstacles are homemade. Most are relatively easy. There were several that were much harder. You can skip any of the obstacles if you are not comfortable with them, including the pond swims. It was HOT ( June ) so we were happy to get in the water. Highly recommend wearing weight lifting gloves or other hand protection. Some of the ropes, and other obstacles, may hurt your hands if they are bare. Also, bring water if you choose, because there is no water stop on the course. The nice gentleman drove a golf cart out to meet us about halfway to make sure we weren't lost and that we were ok. We appreciated that. He gave us a little history of the property as well. There are boats and a zip line on the property as well, but you have to reserve those in advance. The gnats are annoying but that's a given in that area. Please note there is no shower at the end. There is a bathroom where you can change clothes, however. It's a beautiful property, and you should be sure to look around and enjoy the scenery as you are going through the course. Highly recommend if you like obstacle runs! read more
