Only motel in town clean but has the 1960s vibe. A few bugs running around but if you turn out the lights you'll be okay

The hour drive to Fairfield inn became too much and holiday inn was out of company policy, so I…read morelanded back here. Again, everything else is great. Easy mobile check in. Rooms fairly clean, though the industrial cleaner they use is kinda slimy and sticky. Daily housekeeping if you request it. Rooms fairly comfortable, though many of the electrical outlets are suspect and one actually blew up and sparked on me. Price a little steep, but I guess they can charge what they want due to limited options. Staff is pretty nice. But it still smells funky. I think it's the fabuloso cleaner, which is NOT fabulous.

While this location was not as close as I wanted to be...it was by all means a great pick so, I…read morevarious things about H2S. 1. The staff that checked me in...I fell in love with as they were guy w/the ponytail and small young lady offered their recommendation to the tavern across the street which I did walk over to that night after my nap. There was individual wrapped apples, guest if you were in dire need for a quick bite. This was a cordial inviting welcome when checking in. Of course, I took an Apple! 2. When I say I loved loved the room...I LOVED THE ROOM! I like a room you can walk into & you are not at the bed as soon as you walk in. And this is what I got here...room, room & more room. A clean fridge, microwave, bathroom was refreshing. Wasn't via found of the TV mode it took a minute for me to figure out. It took too many buttons pushes to select a station. Besides that & a dark large stain on the carpet, all else was fabulous! 3. I felt safe & got a great nights sleep! However now...I know what to ask for when I make my next reservation...downside was the next morning...I learned after being wakened out my sleep pretty early in the morning that...my room was across from the staff's laundry room or room that the cleaning staff went in to load up the carts. I'm not a morning person & was waken by constant banging every few minutes. Also, the pool was unfortunately not available for use. I mean come on Hilton it's summertime, we need pool access!!! If you knew that day I had & the transition s my hair went through so, trust me when I say...I deserved to swim a few laps! I paid and expected that I could take a swim & lounge into cone off my day trip into town. I finally got up to open the door & looked around...then a young lady came out to load up the towel cart and I gathered now where the banging noise was coming from...she was going in & out of the room across from my room and the door was closing on the door stopper she had put in the floor of the door to kept the door cracked. She looked, we caught eye & I mentioned to her I was wondering where the banging was coming from. Her response was, "Oh, my bad." I closed the door and that was that., Ohhh & I liked that the breakfast was included and when I say the breakfast was better than expected...it was great! Thought the individually wrapped avocado half's were a unique idea! I love avocado but, think when I travel...I'm going to pack me some scissors cause I could NOT for the life of me...get this plastic open so I could eat the avocado. Yes, next time I'm bring scissors & oh...Tanjin for their darn avocado. Overall, I do like this hotel and I strongly recommend this suite to stay if you're in town or looking for a 4 Star hotel.

It has a bit of a modern clean feel. The bathroom is large with a glass step in shower. They have a coffee maker as well as a step up from a mini fridge/ freezer. They have a large TV. The beds are very comfortable. Only draw backs ...The door sticks when you try to open it. You have to hit it with your hip hard to make it open after you unlock it with your card. Also the phone in the room didn't work at all... I couldn't even call the desk. I was trying to call to get the wifi access code... but couldn't call. The beads amazing and rooms are greP! So all in all a very good trip!

Scenic state park featuring an 18 hole golf course (I refrain from golf for embarrassment reasons) Friendly small-town staff. Small airport directly across the highway. VERY effective room air-conditioning. Single story buildings. Small "Restaurant" inside the lodge (did not dine there). Color Television with Cable. Iron & Ironing Board. Coffeemaker. Hair dryer. Space-age built-in soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers. Glamorous News: This same lodge was recently used by the crew of one of those family-fixing "Nanny" reality shows while they were filming an episode in the McRae area. The lingering cloud of "Hollywood Glamour" at the lodge is palpable, though you should be careful not to confuse it with the teeming hordes of angry gnats (see below). Non-Glamorous News: Location may be perceived as "isolated" by resort-conscious (there is no "ocean view"). Woods be full of Captain Drew's lubber kinfolk and ticks (in equal measure). Teeming hordes of angry gnats. Angry, angry gnats that should not be confused with Hollywood Glamour (see above). Bad News: Firm mattresses. Relentlessly firm mattresses. Unforgivingly firm mattresses. The Deal: If you've a bad back, drive south Jim m'lad and don't stop 'till you've arrived at the wooden sign for the Little Ocmulgee State Park (and Lodge). Located about 35 minutes south of Dublin in the heart of Gnats-Up-Your-Nose County, this state park be the same locale where Captain Drew goes for his annual family reunion of inlaws and outlaws.... partly because we be such a wild bunch that we can't be contained by anything smaller, but mostly because it only costs us a couple hundred groats to rent an air-conditioned pavilion with its own surface parking lot. Perhaps one day I'll take one of you sweet-bottomed lasses down there on me arm to show off to me cousin/wives.... In all these years of herding my parents down to the reunion we've never stayed overnight in this state park's lodge UNTIL last week, when we found ourselves compelled southward by familial love and memorial duty. En route we agreed to give this state-run lodge a tryout since our former favorite, the Magnolia Inn, is now operated by a friendly family with a penchant for curries so indescribably pungent that the scent has permanently permeated the molecular essence of every structural component of their flophouse. While I enjoy a good curry as well as the next fellow, I also enjoy the delicious aroma of 78% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.038% carbon dioxide, trace amounts of other gases, and a variable amount (average around 1%) of water vapor. We were certain to find fresh air at the Little Ocmulgee State Park Lodge, and we did!! Signing In A breeze.... super fast. Our Stay Our lodgings were VERYsatisfactory. With the exception of a missing ice bucket (we had the lid), the room was as fully stocked as any other contemporary hotel room you'd find anywhere else in the nation. Why spend more somewhere else? Checking Out My only recommendation is to make every effort to prevent men in golfing togs and pronounced drawls getting in line ahead of you (especially if they're in the sawmill business) because they will delay your departure by 20 minutes as they kibitz with the friendly staff, loudly declaring how much money they make, detailing how much their monthly income surpasses the annual income of their fellow townfolk and generally strutting about acting "all rich and stuff". One solution to this dilemma is of course to nip out onto the nearby "wetlands" boardwalk (ie, swampy-path-to-nowhere), secure some sort of non-venomous-but-nontheless-agitated indigenous wildlife and insert it into the open golfbags in the back of the rich guys' pick-up trucks. Alternately, you can simply stand in line behind them with a fake smile plastered across your face, pondering at how marvelously ridiculous your little planet can be~

After I saw the chicken I go over the room and Im like naaah they hadnt dusted in here, vacuumed thoroughly or nothing. Because Im early; it was like 12:30 when I arrived but I had to use the restroom. After I used the restroom the young lady at the desk said the room was ready. I wasnt pressed but Im like ok cool. I can finish watching church and charge my phones get ready for work 2mrrw. Now I understand cutting corners sometimes but it look like they cut the corner, went up 2 blocks & made a left. This room clearly was not thoroughly clean. I would think the basics in housekeeping would at least be dust the tv, desk, drawer, phone & light fixtures. FIX IT BIG BROTHER JESUS. I decide Ill leave for a bit run to walmart get some food whatever so go by the desk ask them to go over the room again. I come back & its the same way i left it; i purposely did not indicate what needed to be done. But now i have all my bags w me + food I just stopped to get before returning. I go to use the bathroom again {DEFINITELY NOT SITTING ON THAT TOILET}. Something said to lift the seat up and bruuuhhhh Speaking of bathroom the hallway leading up to the room on the second floor smelled like 10 diaper genies. I gathered all my things and carried my butt on outta there. I couldnt even sit comfortably to eat my darn food. Im tired I been up all day I want to sleep but Im afraid if all this is dirty the bed n chair damn sure is too. Im in the lobby writing this while charging my phone a bit. I dont want to be difficult/problematic but this is just crazy. While im in the lobby area employees passing by I must be invisible or they are accustom to seeing ppl w bags n food sitting here lol. I don't know what my job was thinking or what they are used to but this NYC girl cannot deal with this. All I want is to sleep a bit, get a shower & relax Lord help ya child out puhleeezzzeeee. Edited* Jennifer at the front desk was much helpful. When I asked her for the wifi she asked what i was doin in the lobby & I told her she was understanding. Said its no bother; I shouldve called. She switched my room & even let me check it 1st. I feel better in here than i did in the 1st one. Only issue was no iron but fd brought one when i requested.
