However, there is a huge lack of consent: i asked her to not hold my eye open to put the eyedrops in, and she tried it, got annoyed that the eyedrops missed. I am better when i concentrate on a said object (the ceiling). tried again concentrating on the ceiling worked! Also doesn't recognize the effect of eyedrops, on occasion my eyes would be red because i either cried (because doc was giving me trouble and sometimes allergies. With eyedrops, you are putting a foreign substance in your eye, so allergies are possible!. Also she will refer you to other providers if something is off- but not ask if it bothers me first. Dr. Powell adroitly fitted me with a scleral lens. Today I can see 20-25 (and 2 letters on the 20-20 line), almost perfect with my left eye! Moreover, Dr. Powell treated me with kindness, compassion and professionalism. She took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I always felt at ease when in her care. She also has a good sense of humor. It's because of Dr. Powell that I have my vision back; needless to say I am eternally grateful to her.
