Last time I went in I tried to exchange a defective house branded cat4 pod but was informed that they have a 7 day return policy....well I had bought 5 pods last time I went in so I did not know it was defective until a month later...after hearing they would not even give store credit I left the pod on the counter and said you can keep it as it is defective and said under my breath as I was walking out (back turned to the bud tender) thanks for wasting my F****** Time...and that's why I'm now banned! I had a really disappointing experience at Catalyst due entirely to the customer service. This was my first time visiting, and the employee who helped me, Angelica, was extremely rude and aggressive from the moment we walked in. Her tone was sharp and dismissive, and when I told her I wanted a pre-roll, she snapped at me asking "Indica, hybrid, or sativa?" in a condescending way, as if I was an idiot for not already knowing, while already walking away from us. I was also given a first-time 25% off discount, and when I simply asked if it would be applied, she responded rudely and snapped back that it was "already 30% off," as if I had done something wrong by asking. The interaction made me feel so uncomfortable that I said sorry, but it wasn't an actual apology, more of a "sorry to inconvenience you" kind of response because I felt awkward and uneasy even asking a simple question. She then acted confused, aggressively counted my cash, handed it back, and gave a very insincere "sorry about that." It honestly felt hostile, not professional, and definitely not welcoming, especially for a first-time customer. I came in excited and left feeling uncomfortable and put off. Overall this place is pretty great. They have great deals everyday of the week, they have a great selection varying from mid level to high level product. Definitely recommend this place. The tenders are usually friendly and helpful. Today though we got Angie. While I certainly take into account that personal things effect us and we can sometimes have a hard time separating those feelings out at work, but no matter how hard we tried to be friendly she was just not having it. On thanksgiving out of all days of the year, and I've been coming to this dispensary for years, spending thousands of dollars, and I've never dealt with anything as ridiculous as what happened with Marco. This guy acted like a straight-up wannabe tough guy instead of an employee. Two people cut in front of me for an online order, I said "wow," and for some reason that triggered Marco. He got hostile, tried to kick me out for literally nothing, and when I calmly explained the situation to the budtender, he stormed back over trying to kick me out again. This is supposed to be customer service, not some power trip. I've supported this place for years, and this is the treatment I get? I've been a loyal customer here for months, which is why this experience was extremely disappointing. I purchased a PlugPlay pod that tasted burnt from the first hit, produced blue smoke, and didn't get me high at all, making it clear the product was defective. I called ahead before coming in and was told they would help me, but once I arrived the situation changed. The manager Asia dismissed my concerns, compared me to "another guy who always complains about pods," and asked me to go outside and hit the pod again to prove the smoke was blue, which made me uncomfortable. Instead of replacing the defective pod, I was given a promo vape, even though all I wanted was a replacement for the product I paid for. Like patience for me is crazy because I take forever but the knowledge he has of the products that catalyst carries to the point where he is talking of the color of the ash when it burns wether it's out of glass or rolled up had me thrown back. My girlfriend & I stopped in on Thursday for some edibles for the day. We had noticed some good stuff we've tried & wanted to try! My GF wasn't feeling too well so she got the two Wyld 1:1 gummies. I myself got the Dot Bar & Lost Farm Cherry Cola Gummies. & We shared the FSO! :) The deals Catalyst has are always amazing! Everyone made sure to let us know the deals and where to look for them as well. The customer service was amazing as well! We were initially helped by Benjamin and he was a huge help! He was helpful, informative, and just a genuinely good dude. We weren't planning on getting the FSO but he let us know it was 50% off, so we said why not? The ATM only let me pull out $40 for some reason. After I pulled the $40 out, the machine stopped working lol. So I had to go up the street to pull out cash. Once I got back, I was rung up by Axel. He was actually the one doing reception I believe when I first came in. He actually recommended the Dot Bar that I got! (WHICH WAS BOMB BY THE WAY, SHOUT OUT TO YOU!) They're really knowledgeable with strains and brands. Today we were helped by Joseph. He has very great customer service. My bf and I got a few live rosin concentrates. We have been smoking Trilogy 710 and they finally have it close by!! Last time we got Limon Chem which was good. Joseph recommended Texas toast and he said he likes it because it's garlicky.
