I purchased the bracelet and when I got back from my cruise I gave it to my daughter, she wore it the next day and it fell off her arm, it was broken and missing a piece..I felt awful and began thinking how am I going to return it to a store on Catalina island. I sent an email to The Steamer Trunk explaining what happened and the next day received a return email from Erin. She apologized and asked if I would like a refund or replacement! I asked for a replacement and to my surprise a new bracelet arrived at my home the next day! Excellent customer service! I will always purchase from this store when I visit Catalina Island.

It is a very cute gift shop. They sell cute woman's clothing. Sweaters were 10$ off (not sure how long this sale will last). There were several cute sweaters to chose from. They had a sign on the door for $20 UGG boots but don't be deceived they aren't authentic UGGS (obviously). They also have super cute wallets and comfy beach clothes (too bad it's too cold to wear a cute dress right now). Definitely a cute store to check out.

This year, we decided to look at their "Epic Magnet Wall". To be fair, I don't know if I'd consider the wall "Epic", but not only did we find a magnet for ourselves, we found several other items, and at a price that didn't hurt my head or my wallet. The lady that checked us out couldn't have been more friendly and personable, and let us know that she was the "Official Merchandise Tester" with a sly smile. She absolutely made the visit more fun, and we couldn't be happier with our purchases.

I brought it to the register where I met Dina. When I mentioned how pleased I was about the quality of the embroidered work, she smiled and explained they were embroidered "in the back." I was impressed. We continued talking and I mentioned how much I loved the unique designs, nothing I'd seen anywhere. She smiled even more and admitted she'd designed them! I asked more about how (I do some graphic design work) and turns out she does them by hand. By hand! Not using modern technology, but true art. Please, if you visit Catalina Island, check out this shop. It's the middle storefront at the Hotel MacRae, the sign was missing on my visit. Buy one of Dina's embroidery designs. Buy several. Our visit to the island was amazing and we will be back. Each trip I intend to bring home a Dina original.

They have some cute jewelry and stuffies as well. The shop keeper was friendly and offered to help put away shirts and get other sizes for me. The t-shirts are a bit on the pricier side at $18-$22 for a single shirt, but they seem like good quality and original designs. Overall, I enjoyed the selection of t-shirts for my daughter and nephew and I had a hard time just picking one shirt for each kid--I was tempted to get more!
