Highly recommend this place for a Massage. Note: It is not a Spa, just Massages. We had a 90 minute Couples Massage. We were very pleased with the results and the Therapist's experience was apparent to us both. We will definitely return when in Avalon again. read more

My husband and I are in Catalina for our Babymoon/Wedding Anniversary and wanted to get couples massages. I'm 7 months pregnant and I booked the couples massage and they easily accommodated mine being a prenatal massage. I booked the massage only one day in advance and for the price it was so lovely! Tranquil vibes and all the women were so friendly. Would absolutely recommend coming for a nice massage with your significant other! read more

Esther is a friggin wizard. I just finished 6 rounds of cheml therapy and have dealt with a full variety of different symptoms. One of them being massive body pain and neuropathy in my feet. I scheduled a 2 hour massage and was placed with her by the manager. 1000% suggest it read more

Catalina Sea Spa - Head up these stairs for an awesome massage! - Massage Near Me - Avalon, California

Massage was wonderful and exactly what I needed for my stiff neck and shoulders. Will definitely return the next time I visit Catalina.

I booked a last-minute same day appointment at Catalina Sea Spa and am still in shock at how incredible the experience was. Esther is a phenomenal massage therapist. She was so attentive, starting the session by asking thoughtful questions to understand my needs and checked the pressure throughout. She was incredibly mindful of my arthritis and specific sore spots, ensuring the pressure was perfect. The addition of the heated massage table, aromatherapy, hot stones, and hot towels made the session feel deeply healing. Best 50 minute massage ever and I wish I booked a longer session. They accept credit card, Venmo and cash. Esther is truly incredible. I can't recommend her enough! I plan to book her for any future sessions when I'm on vacation here again! read more

Nothing about this place feels like a spa or is relaxing. We were greeted in a dark hall that had very limited signage on the street. The massage didn't do anything for me. The tea tree scalp massage ended up being an absolute discomfort that consisted of my masseuse just tangling my hair and making my hair greasy. She did not give a scalp massage but more so felt like a toddler was running her hands through my hair. Rather than leaving this place relaxed, I feel like I left more tense and with ragged hair. To top things off, the young woman made a snarky comment to my partner and I at the end. She said "You should consider drinking water and eating healthier. Your body might overall improve".. I didn't want to bother making a scene because another couple was already there to get their service and the tone would have completely changed for everyone. I hope the young woman (likely mid to late 20s) takes some courses to improve on her professionalism and quality of work because whatever she was doing is not it.. I do not recommend this place. I wish I remembered the young woman's name because she did not display any knowledge or professionalism. read more

I truly cannot say enough about their customer service. They went above and beyond to accommodate me, even extending consideration beyond their normal policies and procedures. They absolutely did not have to do that, and I am incredibly grateful for the kindness, understanding, and care they showed me. It's rare to experience this level of customer service, and it truly made a lasting impression. Thank you, Catalina Sea Spa, for treating me with such compassion and for being willing to go the extra mile. I genuinely appreciate everything you did and would highly recommend you to others. read more

Phenomenal. Went with my boyfriend for the 50 minute couples massage and my masseuse did an amazing job. She worked out every single knot in my body with firm pressure as I requested and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. 10/10. So happy!!! And relaxed. read more

My husband and I booked the best couples package for our anniversary trip in advance online. The package offered Swedish (which in my brain means gentle/weaker) scalp, face, foot, and full body massage for 2 hrs for each of us for a reasonable $495 (pre-gratuity). We arrived about 15 mins before our appointment time and were asked to relax in the massage room until our time. When our masseurs came in, they immediately asked what kind of pressure we liked (my favorite question when I'm expecting a weaker massage lol) so I said "I like it pretty hard" and WOW did she oblige us both in our request. These ladies gave us the deepest tissue massage we don't get unless we go to our favorite parlor back home. The attention to detail, every small knot I had in every part of my back was dissected with my gal's expert hands. I was in heaven, even in pain at some points (I asked for it, don't feel bad for me, I sure don't!) We tipped more than we'd ever tipped massage therapists when all was said and done because we were so pleased with our service. Thank you ladies! We will absolutely be back. read more

My friend had a great 30 minute massage by Laron at Catalina Sea Spa. She said Laron was amazing, sweet and funny. She was especially impressed how he really concentrated on the client. She enjoyed chatting with Laron, and found him to be really nice. Catalina Sea Spa takes walk-ins, so walk in and ask for Laron! read more

I had recently left a review and although my experience was not great, the owner Michelle called me directly, heard me out and I felt very listened to and she offered a full refund for our experience. Shoutout to Michelle! Amazing customer service. read more

Got a couples massage here, absolutely incredible. Probably my favorite massage that I've ever had. I don't get massages often. I think I've only had 4-5 or so in my life.... But Catalina Sea Spa did a wonderful job. Their masseuse was kind, thoughtful, professional, and gave me a lot of relaxation during my visit! read more

So I paid for the 370 package and upon arrival I noticed it was very nice and well taken care of but I must say Gypsy was very unprofessional in my opinion I go in to relax and get a massage and she just kept talking my ear off and making smart remarks to me which was annoying nonetheless that price was a rip off then they started talking about personal issues etc and it's like read more

Lady hangs up on me when asked a question.... It just seems like people are not so friendly here. I was going to book a couples massage and asked how close they were to my hotel. She didn't listen to me and said how can I help you... just rude!!! read more

Wonderful experience! Hands down the best message. Ester worked miracles on my back she was the best.

This is the first and last time I will ever go to this spa. I never received my full package which was missing a whole facial rub and never got reimbursed. Also, be prepared for the staff to talk behind your back as we overheard them talking badly about us even after fact of tipping when we shouldn't have tipped in the first place. It was a good lesson on where to NOT go again, please don't waste your hard earned money here! read more

We were really looking forward to our mother daughter spa massage at Catalina Sea Spa. Sadly, I cannot recommend them. While my massage was wonderful, my daughter's massage was a nightmare. To start, my daughter was burned by a hot towel, followed by a horrid , nonrelaxing session. The masseuse was not responsive to feedback and my daughter wondered if this person was trained nor fit enough to finish the massage because of heavy breathing throughout. It made her so uncomfortable that she wanted to end it. When I shared this feedback with the manager, she said she would talk to the owner and get back to me about a refund. They never got back to me. At $145 for an hour treatment, I expected a professional experience. read more

My husband and I received a couples massage for our 2 year anniversary in mid-October. We chose this place because it was close to our hotel and it got great reviews online. My husband says his massage from Christine was the worst massage that he's ever had - he would have walked out if it wasn't a couples massage. My massage from Deangelo was average. I hope our experience is a fluke. We provided the owner a more detailed account of the experience through an email address in hopes that it's helpful - hopefully she received it. read more

Amazing!! 100% makes visiting this relaxing island even better. Gypsy is amazing and so accommodating, she makes sure your massage is perfection. Trecia is so so sweet and even gives recs for your visit. Definitely recommend, their customer service is the best and massages are top tier. read more

I did not actually make it to my scheduled appt. But, their customer service was exceptional. They did honor my cancellation and refunded my money at the same time. I will be going there on my next visit to Avalon. Thx CSS! read more

We went there for a pre booked massage for 2. I had previously paid online with my boyfriend's card. When we got there they stated we would need the cardholder present. He did not come with us on the trip so they stated he can send a selfie with the card I paid with. They got the manager on the phone and they stated he can FaceTime the employee or send a photo with him his card and DL. At this point going back and fourth we asked for a refund. The manager said she would work on my refund right away and would email me a receipt. I didn't receive the receipt so I called the manager and she stated she was at home sick and could not process this until she's in the office on Monday. The staff were nice but very confused on this process. The manager stated the policy of the card holder needing to be there is online but when I booked the massages I didn't see anything. I then looked online and didn't see the policy. I asked her to send me the policy but it was never sent. Please make this policy more clear when booking online or don't allow booking online. This establishment lost $350 plus tip to the massage therapists because of the unprofessionalism. I will not return and I will not recommend anyone to use Catalina Sea Spa. read more

We booked couples massage with facial for a relaxing time after a weekend fun time in Avalon. This is not really a spa SPA facility with many amenities. It's more like a massage parlor but more of upscale and very clean. The facial wasn't real facial it was some little finger pressures on our faces. I am very ticklish so I usually don't like massage. I told my massage therapist this and she did a great job accommodating me. I actually enjoyed my massage more than I think I would. My husband enjoyed his much needed massage very much as well. Not a bad place for massage, but I'd prefer a real spa with amenities and all! read more

Honestly, One of the BEST MOST AMAZING MASSAGE PARLORS EVER! Every-time we come to Catalina Island it is a MUST to stop by Sea Spa! We recently visited Hawaii and kept looking for a massage parlor close to this one and NONE OF THEM CAME CLOSE! My Gf and I literally flew across the ocean just to get this massage! 10/10 RECOMMENDED read more

I always get a massage on vacation and this was the best I've personally had. My wife and I did a couples massage 8/30'on our day of arrival to the island and it was perfect. Just a heads up it's not a spa or anything so don't expect a shower or sauna cold bath etc before or after so just come ready for a massage but I promise it is worth it. read more

The massage therapy that I received was very helpful in managing my sciatica pain. Thank you so much Rommel!

I booked the ultimate massage. Ester was my therapist and she was amazing! Sweet, caring and overall professional. The room was clean, heated beds, and smelled nice. The bed was also comfy. When I called to ensure a female therapist was available, the lady who answered the phone was professional and helpful. Booking process was easy and straight forward. I would definitely come back. read more

My husband booked for us a couple massage here and I just want to say the service is absolutely amazing. I was having extreme back pain especially that I am in my first trimester of my pregnancy and they were extremely nice and helpful. The lady told me just let me know what you want me to do. They were very flexible, I'm just really appreciative of their service. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Christine was an amazing massage therapist! I was impressed because I told her that I had knots in my neck and she spent dedicated time working them out. Thanks so much! read more

This was one of the worst massages I've ever had. Gypsy spent more time adjusting and moving around than actually massaging and the massaging was more like a brief rub down. Didn't get the whole time I paid for and I was weirded out when she gave me a hug at the end. Definitely not worth $150. read more

So rude ! My friend and I tried to get massage after seeing a sign walk ins welcome! And no one was there to help us. Booked a couple's massage for my wife and I this weekend. The service was amazing. I received confirmation calls and texts, and got the warmest greeting upon arrival. The vibe was awesome, soothing sounds with the signature spa aromas. Our masseuses were both great making sure we were comfortable and happy through. Would definitely recommend. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting this spa for the second time and it did not disappoint. This time, my therapist was Levi and man... He was amazing! From the start, he asked me questions on what my preference in pressure was, and listened to all of my needs. I unfortunately had pulled a muscle in my neck the day before my trip so I was not feeling well. He did an amazing job working through my neck pain and I left feeling amazing. I will definitely be back again and ask for Levi. read more

Had a fabulous massage with Dewey! one of the best ever! My neck and shoulders were exceptionally tight and I left feeling complete relief. I highly recommend him for massages. I'll be back when returning to Avalon. read more

Facial and scalp upgrades are not worth it. 20 seconds and it's done. Asked for firm pressure and got someone who lightly rubbed lotion on me for an hour - so awkward. Not sure if we ran out of time or what, but didn't get a shoulder or neck massage when this was the area I specifically asked to be targeted. The facility smells heavily of cleaning products. Would not go back. read more
