I left my cat, Casper, at BBcat for three weeks and couldn't have asked for a better experience…read more From day one, Munib and Abby were incredibly responsible, attentive, and clearly genuine cat lovers. They sent me pictures every single day, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Casper was happy, relaxed, and clearly having fun -- I wasn't worried or concerned for a single moment. It's such a relief to find a place where your pet is truly cared for like family. I would absolutely trust BBcat again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for safe, loving care for their cat.

This review is for their pet-sitting services only. It is more of a 3.5 star though than 3, but…read morethere is still the issue with half stars. So we had to leave for a week and really did not want to overload relatives with sitting of our cat, so I finally decided to give this business a try. Scheduling was pretty easy, it is done through their website where you complete a short questionnaire about your darling feline and shortly after you receive an email confirming the dates and giving you the name of you sitter. You will also receive an invoice which you can pay by PayPal or to the sitter. The sitter will contact you to arrange for keys pick up and to meet the puss. During this visit you show around your place(location of food, litter, toys etc) and sign an agreement outlining the terms of service. I think it would have been a good idea for me to get the copy beforehand, I'm sure you can also request for it to be mailed to you when booking. Some main points in the agreement include the payment schedule and the emergency plan in case of illness (name and address of your vet, emergency contacts). What took me by surprise is that one of the points states that they are not liable for the loss of home or possessions in it, which basically means that you have to blindly trust the person you give your keys to...hm. In our case everything was fine, no emergencies happened and I could tell that the cat has been well cared for, when we came back, there was still some food and a lot of water left in the bowls and the toilet was properly maintained. The shedding was minimal which indicates that the kitty did not stress much. My only concern and the reason for the star off is that our sitter was a smoker and I naively thought that pet sitters just like child sitters are supposed to come in a non-smoker package, apparently I was wrong about that and the next time will try to specify my requests accordingly. I also thought there would be more feedback during our away time, but I only got one email and only after I myself requested the status update. After we got home I got an email from the scheduler confirming that we are back and that the cat is not alone, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. Overall, I will use them again and recommend to others, as I hate begging in-laws for anything.

It was really expensive and traumatizing to fly my cats here from Los Angeles and I certainly could not fly them back and forth over the holidays, so I was faced with finding a pet sitting service that was affordable and trust worthy. I was stressed out about the whole ordeal until I came across Cats Pyjamas. I contacted them and set up a "meet & greet" before booking them and to my surprise it was a huge relief! There was some paperwork involved which I found to be thorough and thoughtful. It literally covers everything and it's nice to know that they want the best for your pet(S) while your away. Raisa and Mitch are friendly and respectful. I walked them through feeding routines, toys, etc. and they took notes! I had no hesitation handing over the keys to my place and care of my cats. They emailed me with photos, videos and everything my cats were up to while I was away. I had no doubt that upon my return everything would be as I left it...and of course it was! I exclusively use Cats Pyjamas because the level of quality and care is exceptional. They are worth every cent and more. Great people who love and care for your pets the way you would.

They were very thorough with the initial consultation so I left knowing my cat would be in good hands. I got daily reports and pics during my vacation and it was comforting to know my beloved cat was well looked after. I still hire them, even after I moved to a completely new area. I highly recommend them, esp if you have pets with medical issues. My cat needs insulin twice a day and needs two visits. It costs me $30/visit but worth it as they are trained to do this! Declan left me a lovely note when I needed my pet looked after a couple months ago! I recommend him too if you live in Scarborough or the beaches!

They sent a sitter over for a consultation, where we walked her through the house, showed her where everything was, what the cat's habits were, let her meet the cat, etc Then away we went. Needless to say I couldn't be more thrilled with how it all went. Not only did the girl feed the cat, play with the cat, clean the litter, etc, she also watered our plants, brought in our mail, took out the garbage, swept up the cat fur upstairs, etc Really went above and beyond. And every day she would leave a voicemail on this system they have setup, which then uses Google Talk to translate the vmail into an email, which is auto-sent to me, which I could check on my iPad while overseas to keep on with the progress. On top of all this, they were WAYYYY cheaper than the old cat sitter we used to use when we lived in the Annex. Overall top notch. Highly recommended. They will totally be our pet sitters going forward.

I hired Maggie two weeks ago to groom my Persian mix kitties and to say it was a bad experience…read morewould be an understatement. She showed up an hour and half late with no hair dryer and a dirty trimmer, full of hair from her last appointment, which she only gave a quick superficial clean that consisted of brushing the hair out and spraying it down with disinfectant for 10 seconds before she started to use them on my cat. My older cat was nicked a total of 6 times including two bad ones that nearly lobbed off a nipple and on her ear (?!?), while my younger one had the most patchy cut, bald in some spots and long tufts of hair in others. I understand that cats are difficult to groom and all about their thin skins but I have been having my cats groomed for 13 yrs and the sum of all the injuries they have incurred that period of time is two (one each). 6 nicks on one cat in a single session is just far too many and a result of carelessness or inexperience. The worst part is Maggie either didn't know or didn't disclose on purpose, that my cat had been hurt so many times. I only noticed the nick on her nipple when Maggie was here (because my cat was hiding and wouldn't allow me to look her over properly till much later) and when I brought it to her attention she appeared to not know about it and said if it was not bleeding then it would heal by itself. She didn't even check to see how bad it was and now in retrospect, I think it was because she didn't want me to see the rest of the nicks before she left. When I contacted her to express my disbelief and how upset I was, she first said it was because my cats were difficult which shocked me because I offered to help her several times but she assured me that my cats were quite well behaved and she could handle them. Then, she blamed her tools saying her blade must have been dull at the end of a long day of grooming (no kidding!). In hindsight, there were so many red signals that I shouldn't have ignored, however, I decided to cut her some slack since it was my first time with her and my appointment was her last one of the day. I thought I was entrusting my cats to an experienced groomer based on the glowing google and yelp reviews and that having them groomed at home would be less stressful for my cats but it turned out to be an experience I absolutely regret. Ps. I'm not just another lazy, entitled pet owner, I comb them every other day and neither of my cats had big knots/matts or were pelted but they dislike being combed especially, around their hind legs and tails so despite my best efforts after a while, professional intervention is required.

After…read morereading the website and seeing that they were insured, bonded, and pet first aid certified, we knew that we found the right provider. Over the last year, Sarah has become an indispensable petsitter for our 2 cats. She's extremely reliable, organized, and professional - a total pleasure to work with. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to our cats, so I can't believe that we've found someone as detail oriented and caring as Sarah to look after them when we're not around! Getting set up with PetsGo was pretty painless. We had an initial meet and greet at our house to introduce the cats, go over the forms, and provide a copy of our keys. The intake paperwork was extensive which really helped put my mind at ease that PetsGo would have all the right info and preferences of our cats. My favourite part about the service is that Sarah takes the time to send daily updates and photos (great for my peace of mind). She even noticed that our cats had shaved patches of fur (from a recent vet visit we forgot to inform her about) and kept an eye on them in case they became an issue. This is definitely high-quality service for a reasonable price! Most recently, after returning from our 2-week vacation, our cats were calmly snoozing like we never even left. They were definitely well-fed and well-exercised during our absence! The house was also spotless... possibly cleaner than we left it (Sarah took out the recycling and cat poo garbage, de-fuzzed our furniture, and somehow there were no hairball tumbleweeds everywhere. Magical!) We would highly recommend Sarah and PetsGo to anyone who is lucky enough to be in the service area!
