What I like about this place is the fact that they have the largest selection of hardwood floors that I have seen anywhere in the area. They don't just have the cheap ones that you see at a lot of places, but they also have the high end engineered wood flooring. Most engineered flooring has a very thin top layer of real wood. That means if you ever have to sand it down due to scratches or dents, there won't be anything left and you will be replacing the floors. This store carries a brand called Mirage, which is manufactured in Canada, and it has a very thick layer of real wood on top of the engineered plywood. The engineered plywood also comes in two thicknesses, half inch and 3/4 inch. I called another place that allegedly sold Mirage, however they didn't have a single display board piece in their show room. This store has lots of different woods and lots of different finishes by Mirage, as well as other companies. Another great company that they carry flooring for is Mercier, which is also manufactured in Canada, has a durable surface, and has a thick top layer of real wood on the engineered plywood.

After doing some research, we contacted Mr. Sandless and couldn't be happier. They were flexible and able to schedule before our furniture arrived. The sand-free process took one day, and the two men who did it were friendly and polite. The price was right too; ~$750 for our 400 square foot downstairs, compared to thousands (and several days) for the sand method. Prior to the re-finishing, there was one spot near our front door where the finish had all been worn away. They were able to cover it up well, and while it will ultimately need sanding to completely blend, it is barely noticeable and now protected from the elements. The other great thing is their work comes with a 5 year warranty! We highly recommend Mr. Sandless and their team of skilled flooring experts to finish your floors.
