I'm really not sure which is worse - the service dept - which can't work on larger ag tractors (but they'll charge over a thousand dollars and hold it for several weeks only to eventually tell you they can't fix it) or the parts dept - which is completely lost and bewildered trying to find parts (you must know exactly what you need and in many cases have the jd part number or they're bewildered with where to start - it seems most in there don't even have a basic understanding of the various engine types or machine models produced by JD) 1 or 2 guys behind the counter that are knowledgeable and paid well are much better than 6 or 7 behind the counter that prob can't change their own oil (I'd willingly wait 15-20 mins in line to speak to someone that's helpful) The service dept needs a service manager that understands basic engines and problems (and can talk with both the mechanic and the customer from an experienced perspective). That is NOT the case with the person that is there now (sorry)

Ed in the office was responsive, knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. Clayton, who delivered the tractor, called in advance to schedule the delivery day, called when he was on his way with the delivery, and showed up right on time. He also was very pleasant, and did his job quickly. We definitely will be using 21st Century for our needs moving forward.

He showed up on time, was professional and easy to talk to, and clearly knew what he was doing. Within a short time he diagnosed the issue (carburetor and old fuel problems), explained everything in plain English, and gave me a fair price before starting the repair. The convenience alone was worth it. No hauling equipment across Denver traffic, no waiting weeks during peak season, and no surprise fees. He also checked the blade, filter, and spark plug while he was there and made sure everything was tuned properly. What really stood out was the honesty. He didn't try to upsell me on anything unnecessary -- just fixed what needed to be fixed and made sure it was running strong before he left. The mower starts on the first pull now.
