It's a freakin' traffic intersection, so it's just A-OK. At some point you'll get stuck waiting at it if you're Kailua/Kaneohe or town bound. During rush hours, the traffic signals are on a timer and not on car sensor so that more cars can get through from the heaviest side but not so much so that other traffic lanes don't get a turn. So during rush hours, if you aren't on the heavy side, waiting can suck. On weekday mornings (except state holidays) from Kamehameha or Kaneohe, the right left turn lane into Kailua is blocked to only go town bound. There's even a sign that says so. If you're coming from Kailua on the bus, there's a bus stop there. There's also an ahu to mark the separation of ahupuaa. If you're a pedestrian, use extreme caution when crossing these busy highways. read more
