I switched to Castle Fresh for regular cleaning after being dissatisfied with Molly Maid. I liked the girls who came to clean and they did a decent job, when they came, but I they were no call no show for a few consecutive appointments, and so I cancelled service after that. Brian and the administrative assistant were wonderful to work with; they listened to my problems, and offered me a refund. They didn't give me any trouble and refunded the money in full right away once I gave them the card #. The front office is great, and I loved that the girls who came to clean spoke English as a first language (absolutely nothing against the non-English speakers, but it is nice to be able to clearly communicate with the people who come to your house). Example: the way my shower is set up, you have to grasp it firmly at the base before adjusting the direction of the showerhead or risk breaking a pipe behind the wall. I told this to my Molly Maid ladies and I don't think they really understood what I was telling them. I've also learned that Molly Maid treats their employees quite poorly (failing to pay OT, workers comp, all sorts of violations, and they rely on their ladies' poor understanding of their legal rights and limited resources to continue cheating them) so its preferable to give business to someone honest and locally based. Although my experience with Castle Fresh was not the best in every area, I think what happened to me was a fluke and they have since worked it out. I really appreciate the hard work of the front office and the fact that they stand behind their employees and their work. Would definitely recommend. read more

The workers would rather talk on their phones than work. Giving false information on a costumers condition because they don't want to work or do their job. Very disappointed. This company did fine until they hired people that are just trying to work the system. Sad read more

This was the first time we ever hired a house cleaner. Safe to say it will be the last. The cleaner was on time, spent 4 hours cleaning, then came to me saying that she would need another hour above the 5 hours we had requested, there was no way she could get done in 5 hours. I had to okay the extra hour, then she had to call her boss. I okayed it - but in the end she spent only 20 minutes over the 5 hours. I feel like we were totally taken. Not a great first impression. On top of that, not everything was cleaned, so I'm not sure what happened to the other 40 minutes that we okayed. No idea. Not really sure what the cleaner did for 5 hours, but certainly not worth $290 plus a tip. Never again. read more

Walking out on cleaning assignment which was scheduled 4 weeks in advance because they were convinced they could not do a satisfactory job is extremely unprofessional. Move in date was the following day leaving no opportunity to schedule an alternative. The cleaner arrived at 9am and nothing had been even begun by 11am. This company will take you payment 4 weeks in advance and then leave you high and dry. Oh... And they were charging $500 for 1 person at 8hrs. That's $62.50/hr. I don't know going home cleaning rates, but that seems outrageously high. You can't talk your way out of poor service. I am seeking legal action against this business and their license. read more

I wanted to hire them for a deep clean of my house because I was having guests over for a graduation party. The person sent took 2.5 hours to clean 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. After I asked the person what was taking so long she said that she would finish everything, but that my bathrooms were super high traffic and that is what took so long. However, she did a sub-standard job of cleaning my living room, didn't dust my living room at all, and broke a blind while supposedly vacuuming and mopping the floor in the kitchen. I spent an additional 2 hours that night cleaning everything that she didn't clean. I emailed the owner and after initially stating that he was interested in making it right when I suggested a partial refund I ceased to hear anything further from him. read more

These folks ruined my stainless steel sink by using a scratch pad on it. They also broke a faucet, Ruined my piano by using something like a window cleaner on the piano. AND THEN, the owner had the audacity to say call him and not speak to the women that were destroying my furniture! Best advice, run away from this company. TERRIBLE! read more

I rescheduled with Castle Fresh for 4 hours clean after the lock downs eased up. As "punishment" for leaving them during the lock down months, Brian charged me extra for 4 cleanings. Then the price would go back down to the usual amount. The first cleaner spent 3.5 hours cleaning two bathrooms, one quarter bath, two bedrooms, a small laundry room and the hallway. She then spent the remaining half hour poorly cleaning the kitchen. She left the office, dining room, living room, den and hallway untouched. Castle Fresh did reimburse me for the third of the house she didn't clean. I don't know what she was doing for 3.5 hours, but it wasn't cleaning. And afterwards, I discovered some small things missing. Hmmm.... Second cleaner was great. No issues. Brian touts that the company is ready to meet client needs. I am allergic to all chemicals, cleaning supplies, smoke and more. Since I am handicapped, and have difficulty sleeping, I have repeatedly requested cleaning people come after 9:30 am. Last cleaner showed up at 9 am. Husband answered the door and said she wasn't who we were expecting and it was too early. We weren't quite ready. I asked her if she could go have a cup of coffee and come back in 30 minutes. She gave me the pitch about wanting to keep customers happy and our needs came first, blah, blah, blah. She wanted to go outside to call her manager. I told her to leave the cleaning supplies in the house. When she returned, she walked near me and I could smell that she just reeked of cigarette smoke. I asked her if she was a smoker. She said yes and that she was going to leave because I wasn't happy. She chose to leave and did. Castle Fresh ONLY takes credit card for payment. You cannot write a check. Brian decided that I had told the cleaner to leave and not clean, even though I had tried to prevent her from doing so. Because he had my credit card number, he charged me $49. So unfair. She lied to him and blamed me for her decision to leave our home. I would NOT recommend this cleaning company. read more

Overpriced for mediocre service. Maid broke a glass that is part of a set. Wreckless cleaning, running into baseboards and just cleaning around furniture. I had a coupon for $179 and was promised a credit for the broken item that could not be replaced, yet I was charged $189. I contacted the owner and received no response. Do yourself a favor and find a cleaning service that cares about your home and your belongings and operates with integrity...this is not the one. read more

They always come on time and do a great job! The employees are so friendly and professional. I wouldn't hire anyone else to clean my home!

My wife took advantage of a Groupon offer for a whole house cleaning. Kimberly from Castle Fresh came and cleaned our house yesterday. When I walked in after work, I could immediately see a difference. Our kitchen was BRIGHT because of how white the sinks and the counters were. The bathrooms were glowing as well. I have to say if we need another whole house cleaning, we will use Castle Fresh for sure. read more

I called Castle Fresh in desperate need and they delivered! I was so happy with the crew and Brian was so easy to schedule with. I plan on using them again. My house has never been so clean! read more

We were dissatisfied with the quality of the cleaning. Most days, they just pushed things around. They missed entire rooms at least once every other time, and nothing was really clean -- except on a visit earlier this month, when the cleaning was stellar! We asked the company to ensure that person handled our cleaning going forward. Not only were we told that it's not possible to request to have the same cleaner every time, we were told this awesome cleaner no longer worked there. When she was in our home, my husband overheard the "leader" who accompanied her on the job tell her she was going too slowly. She responded that she's not slow, she's thorough, and, two weeks later, she didn't work for the company anymore. The other cleaners are NOT thorough -- which is especially odd since we pay by the hour. Overall, I would recommend trying another service. And, to the woman named JULIE who used to be employed here and parted ways with this company recently, please message me!!! read more

I needed a deep clean on a house I was moving out of. Nothing was even remotely clean. They have good reviews on google and on angle's list, so I'm not sure what the deal was that my service was so awful, however, it was bad. They didn't clean the baseboards, cupboards, windows, faucets, stovetop etc....which are all pretty standard on a deep/move-out clean. 1/10 would not recommend. read more

We used this cleaning company back in April for a deep clean. I emailed a brian and he got back to me quickly and was able to book a next day cleaning! I was ecstatic As far as the cleaning there were 2 ladies and they did a nice job. Aside from not cleaning the 3 fans in each bedroom, a few baseboards and a side table we were happy. Brian then called and said one of the cleaners tried to claim 30 extra minutes of cleaning that we had not authorized. We greatly appreciated the honesty. I emailed him a few weeks later to get quotes for general cleaning he never responded hence the 3 stars.... read more
