However, he politely waited and then came to my door as scheduled. I gave him an idea of what I was looking for which would be a new look for my out dated landscape. I shared my budget (I gave him a number lower than what I was truly willing to spend) figuring I would get the usual high rate and have to negotiate down. We discussed plants, water issue, drainage and continued maintenance. I ask a lot of questions and he gave very informative answers. I finally thought after an hour or so, I should let this man be on his way. He promised to call me the following day with pricing. He did as promised. Wow, this was awesome. He gave me a quote for my updated landscape and to my surprise he stayed under the budget I had told him, making suggestions on how to save even more money. We…read morediscovered Santoro Scapes via our sprinkler service who came out to repair our sprinkler system after a tree contractor damaged some of our front yard sprinkler valves and heads while removing 7 large pine trees along with 40 years of overgrown hedges/ bushes. We were not sure about Santoro Scapes until Joey (owner) came timely to our home to discuss the project and provide an estimate. Note we also had 5 other contractors that came to our home to bid the job. Most of the other contractors were in a hurry and most of them bid the job double in price. At the time, Joey was currently still establishing his landscaping business and did not have a website. We still hired Joey given his great knowledge, work ethic and passion which came through on our initial visits. Our frontyard project consisted of killing all of the fescue grass, removing debris from stump grinding, prepping for new sod, bringing in 12 loads of dirt to level out the front yard without creating drainage issues into house, installing/fertilizing/ rolling 9 pallets of Zeon Zoysia sod, cleaning and prepping mulch beds with 2 inches of dog friendly mulch, (mini pine nuggets). Joey and his team did an outstanding job start to finish! Especially on the prep which has everything to do with new sod rooting successfully. They were here everyday on time and worked late to ensure all of the work was done exactly right. Since it was the end of July, important to note these days were extremely hot at 90 degrees and higher. Many of our neighbors were also so impressed by Joey and his team not cutting corners (especially in the prep work) they shared their positive comments and then asked Joey to perform future work at their homes. Joey also selected a sod company for us that provided high quality zeon zoysia (healthy with no weeds). This is another extremely important part of the sod install process since the grass material costs alone runs 4k at 9 pallets. Once the sod is delivered, you unfortunately as the home owner, own the grass's outcome whether it lives or dies after anyone's install. Again can not say enough great things about Joey's knowledge and work ethic. He and his team really care, made sure our sod arrived in great condition and immediately installed working 12 hour days to coordinate with the daily weather for best results. Their price overall for our project was more than fair for all the hard work. We would not hesitate to refer Joey and his company Santoro Landscapes to another potential customer and hire him again. Our home now looks super amazing after the work completed by Santoro Landscapers. We hope to add before and after pictures soon of our large front yard landscaping project that has truly transformed our home in Sandy Springs (Atlanta), GA.
