There is a parking lot that you must pay to park in but is inexpensive. Free street parking is also available. The hotel was a bit hard to find in a car. I recommend searching for the hotel by name in Google maps to navigate as opposed to using the street address listed for the hotel. That street is very busy with pedestrians and difficult to drive down. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was amazing.

It was spotless, and beautifully decorated. A free bottle of water is provided. The bathroom was stocked with everything you will need, including dental kits. The staff are very friendly and courteous. They speak limited English, so there was a lot of Google translation involved. The hotel is on a small street in the heart of Begur, only accessible by walking. We parked our car in a public spot (free) and then walked about 5 minutes with our bags to get here. There are steps to get to the main floor; no ramp or elevator. No assistance was provided to get our luggage up or down. Breakfast is included. It is simple but delicious. Fresh orange juice, tea/coffee, limited selection of cheese and pastries, and of course jamon. I loved the fresh fruits. Overall, great experience and would highly recommend!

Found Nord 1901 over on Trip Advisor, but I also needed to Yelp it here, of course! This wonderful, elegant boutique hotel is in the heart of wonderful Girona and walking distance to most everything that you're likely to want to do. Not grand or opulent, but this hotel and its rooms fit my taste more than most others in which I have ever stayed. Excellent front desk service with good English speakers. Parking is a little strange, off premises around the corner, but it works, and you can unload easily on the quiet street in front of the hotel. Some of the third floor rooms involve additional stairs after the top floor elevator, so plan accordingly or ask for help with your bags. Wonderful small pool in the back beyond the main lobby. There looked to be a nice optional breakfast buffet, but we didn't partake. Rates were very reasonable considering the quality. Definitely recommend! If you have ever been to Lucca Italy, Girona may remind you of it a bit. Many streets are old, narrow, one way or even dead end. My biggest tip is that even though this is a smaller city, you will most definitely need a good MAP to find this hotel and to get around. This is especially true if you are driving in. We got hopelessly lost on the way in. I only wish that we had more time to explore this wonderful, vibrant and ancient city!

I called from my car and was assured I could drive to the front of the hotel, drop my bags and then continue to the parking garage around the corner. I did this succesfully although nervously. The front desk clerk was warm, professional and helpful. She told me I had been upgraded to a larger room which was a nice surprise. The room was large, clean and well appointed. There were three large french doors that looked out over the back of the hotel and it's pool. It was lovely. The location is superb as it is just around the corner to one of the bridges that crosses the river into the historic area of the city. Check out was easy and straightforward.

Lots of open seating indoors and they mentioned this is their "slow season". Quim was our server and he was so helpful and patient with us. Duck with pears dish - very good. Lamb shoulder dish with vegetables was delicious. Catalan cream for dessert was good but of course we had better. This is to be expected in most restaurants if you had already sought out the best Basque cheesecake in the region as we did.

Located on a hill with views to the sea, the town has old buildings, winding streets, the old church and the mandatory castle -:) The town has lots of good dinning and shopping options (Marcy is a professional and she says the shops are very good). The hotel is just off the square so you can walk every where in town. The hotel has 12 rooms. Our room was nicely decorated and sized for 2. I really liked the black out metal shades (push a button and they slide down). Before you book a room, note that the staff speaks limited English. Unless you speak Spanish, you will need to take the lead on planing activities and where to go to dinner. We enjoyed doing that our selves (we chatted with locals and fellow tourists for recommendations). The hiking it great near by and of course the many beaches - enjoy, we did!

It was such a lovely place. The beach was packed but gorgeous, there was plenty of walks you could do, etc. Really just a beautiful place to see. Food, however (whether at the one grocery store or at a restaurant) was pretty pricey in this town. I mention the town itself because why would you consider staying here if you aren't considering Llafranc? And if you really want to go to Llafranc, you'll probably stay here since it really was the cheapest place (at least when we went). As for this hotel... it was alright. The major positive was that is was RIGHT on the beach. Literally out the front door. Though, it was small and cramped as European hotel rooms seem to be. It was nice after spending several nights in a hostel, but only really nice because of that. They had a patio space with lounge chairs, but it wasn't really pretty or anything and didn't have a great view unless you stood up over the railing (though it was still a nice place to decompress with some wine). They wouldn't allow any towels to be taken to the beach. The desk wasn't helpful at all when we tried to ask where things were in town. There was no free breakfast.
