I'm honestly surprised this place doesn't get more love. I'm from San Diego, so I grew up with really good Mexican food, and I have a pretty high bar for it. Casanada's absolutely delivers. I have yet to order a single thing here that I didn't love. The carne asada chips are absolutely bomb, the quesadillas are fantastic, and the San Felipe fries are YUM, YUM, YUM. Even the little things are done right--if you order a side of chips, they come out piping hot, and their spicy carrots are seriously delicious. I'm so glad we found this place right here in Sun City. It's become one of my favorite Mexican food spots, and honestly, I think it deserves much better reviews than it gets. Five stars all day. read more

I ordered Al Pastor Sopes. The generous helpings of refried beans, sour cream, and lettuce was nice. However, as far as the Al Pastor was concerned, all I got was a small pile of Al Pastor crumbs. Stick with the two taco combo platter. At least it has a healthy amount of Al Pastor. read more

Went through the drive-through. It took a long time. The taco shells are stale, (like from the grocery store/premade) not freshly made. They didn't give us all of our food. When I called and asked them to refund me based on my receipt number and my card that I used, they said I would've had to go back to the store. I regret coming here. Do not recommend. read more

The past two times I have come here, my food that should be hot is cold. My taquitos were cold and my burrito meat was cold. It was clear they did not even heat these items up before serving them. Both times I've gone around 8 pm. I'll go one more time and if it happens again, I'm done with them. First time here. Have to write a good review. I ordered 2 orders of taquitos de papa and 1 torta de carne asada. This place did not disappoint at all. I love they have the "bar" to serve yourself with limes , salsas , etc . The place is very clean, friendly and delicious. I'm glad I found this spot. This will be my go to for a yummy meal. Really good spot. There are great portions and decent prices. It's my second time here. First time I ordered inside and the second I went through the drive thru. I had no problems ordering from either one. The staff was so nice and helpful on answering any questions I had. The regular burritos are all meat and salsa. I like rice and beans in my burrito so I had to order the conga burrito. This thing is massive and delicious. We also got an asada torta and no complaints there. We begot a side of fries just to try and munch on. They're OK but nothing too good. They're shoestring fries, so they're mega tiny. I prefer the bigger cut fries. They also aren't seasoned with anything. Some seasoning salt would make them much better. read more

I have to give this place an updated review because my experiences here have been quite pleasant. When ever I have the craving for some Mexican food, this tends to be my go to guilty pleasure. Now I will say I have not experienced every item on their menu, however my go to is always their grande tostada or flying saucer tostada. At other places this may be know as a taco bowl. Regardless it is delicious and I have had it on several occasions without a hitch. I recommend having it with their carne asada in substitute of their shredded beef. I can't speak on what the inside of the restaurant is like as I usually order through the drive inn. I can say the outside menu board and restaurant do look a bit dated. Also don't expect your meal to be fast despite it having a drive through window. It is more of a convenience so show some grace. Also they have an amazing array of salsas to add to your dish. Horrible customer service the two girls working the weekdays morning shift taking your order needs to be property trained on how to pack the food and especially the drinks for no spillage. I've been coming here for quite some time and it seem like the customer service keeps getting worse and worse. The girls are rude, unfriendly, and look miserable working projecting their energy off to the customer. Whatever issues they have personally should be kept to themselves and greet the customers with a professional attitude. The food is always great. cooks are doing a great. job. I picked up an order for Uber Eats here once and saw their San Felipe Carne Asada fries in the menu. They looked so good and I told myself I'm gonna try this one day. We'll I finally came today and got the San Felipe Fries. Let me tell you it was the most disappointed I've ever been. First off they are super expensive at around $17. They literally have nothing on them other than sour cream and cheese. The portion is super small also not even enough to make a burrito out of. It's too bad that this is the closest Mexican drive thru in Sun City community area. Although there's Miguel's near Newport, the rest are walk ups/dine in only (unless you drive little ways towards Perris/Romoland. Anyhow, been here twice & definitely have had better and disappointed in both quality and service - they either don't hear us correctly (and get mad at us for their mishaps) or just not customer service oriented nor friendly.
